About the job
Are you passionate about meeting children, young people and families with diverse backgrounds and needs? Do you gain energy from being close to the interventions, following them through to the end and ensuring that the help makes a real difference?
In connection with the latest budget negotiations, more funds have been allocated to the child and youth area in Rudersdal Municipality. This means we can now strengthen our authority work with an additional permanent position. At the same time, we are in a situation where the department has been hit by the baby boom, and therefore we are also seeking a child advisor for a maternity leave vacancy.
If you want to be part of a department with high professionalism and strong colleague camaraderie, then read on.
About the job
In the Child Authority we are at an exciting point, where with new budget funds for the area we are expanding with an additional permanent position for the psychosocial team 0-16 years.
We are therefore seeking
- A child advisor for a newly created position.
- A child advisor for a maternity leave vacancy.
Both positions from 01 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.
You will work with children and young people aged 0-16 who need a special intervention. This may be children and young people who have experienced violence, who are struggling at school or in leisure activities, or who lack stability at home.
Your tasks will include
- Handling of notifications
- Preparation of screenings, assessments and child welfare investigations
- Assessment and initiation of relevant interventions, including supportive interventions in accordance with The Child Act § 32
- Follow-up on interventions in close collaboration with the child/young person, the family and the practitioner
- Working with the aim that the family, after the end of the process, can stand stronger – preferably with support from networks and civil society
Involvement is a cornerstone of our work. We work systematically to ensure that the child’s voice is clear and active throughout the case process.
You will become part of a district team with about 5-6 other child advisors, where you together handle cases from 2-3 schools in Rudersdal Municipality. You will also have close collaboration with the health visiting service and PPR, which are attached to the same schools.
Across the department we are about 37 employees distributed across the reception, the foster care team, the special team and the psychosocial team – as well as two department leaders and a head of authority.
