We are looking for on-call substitutes to cover holidays and illnesses

Your main tasks

As an on-call substitute your main task is to create security and continuity for the children in everyday life. You participate in the pedagogical work on equal terms with the permanent staff and contribute to a caring, structured and present everyday life.

Employment as an on-call substitute requires that you are flexible and prepared to be rotated between rooms and teams when the need arises.

Who we are

Are you passionate about working with 0-5 year old children together with good colleagues in a good and developing work environment, then come to District Hedegården. The district consists of four kindergartens, each with its own character and distribution of child groups.

We experience that it is a strength to be a shared district with about 70 employees and common management. We hold cross-cutting courses, joint staff meetings, social events, etc., where there is focus on development and professionalism, but also an opportunity to socialise and meet colleagues you don't see daily.

Hiring process and salary

Start date as soon as possible.

We conduct interviews as we receive applications.

The position is as an on-call substitute with a varying number of hours from 0-37 hours.

Application deadline: October 25, 2026.

We offer salary and employment terms according to the collective agreement for pedagogues or pedagogue assistants in municipalities.

Employment is in accordance with the principles of local pay formation and in agreement with the negotiating competent organization.

The salary range for the position as a pedagogue is 31,864 DKK – 41,986.76 DKK per month excluding pension for full-time employment (37 hours per week).

The salary range for the position as an assistant is 27,911 – 35,732 DKK per month excluding pension for full-time employment (37 hours per week).

The final salary is set after negotiations between the employer and the trade union that has negotiating rights in the relevant collective agreement area. Salary depends, among other things, on your education, documented seniority and qualifications.
