About the job
Qaqortoq Regional Hospital seeks engaged and flexible nurses for the inpatient ward and the outpatient clinic.
We are looking for nurses for temporary positions in the inpatient department and the outpatient clinic starting from 1 November 2026.
We can offer temporary positions of 3-6 months duration.
In the outpatient clinic you will, among other things, work with telephone triage/visitation, nursing consultations, as well as having the emergency department function.
Likewise, there are medical consultations where there is close collaboration with the doctors.
In the inpatient ward, you, together with colleagues, are responsible for planning and performing nursing care for hospitalized patients, but in the evenings and on weekends you participate in visiting the town's residents as well as emergency department work, so you can expect to work with both inpatients and outpatients, where your professional background is important.
Nurses have day and evening shifts. Very rarely night shifts, as that is the health assistants who have them. Weekend work every other weekend. On-call duties from home, where you are on call about 4-6 times per month.
If you have a diploma, master’s degree or candidate degree this can be remunerated according to the collective agreement.
The Regional Hospital in Qaqortoq has capacity for 21 patients. We receive admissions from the town's residents and from the region's outlying settlements.
You will become part of a regional hospital, and you can expect a daily life with a lot of responsibility as we receive all types of patient categories from newborns to the elderly, where we place high emphasis on multidisciplinary collaboration.
The standard working hours in Greenland are 40 hours per week.
For the regional hospital, there are 7 villages attached from which the regional hospital also receives patients.
We offer
- Good introduction to a broad professional spectrum
- A daily life with diverse tasks
- Good opportunity to work with the whole patient’s situation
- A small hospital with good multidisciplinary collaboration where we help each other.
- Work in a place where the working language is Danish, but the culture is different
We are looking for you who
- Is a trained nurse
- Enjoys working in a varied and independent manner
- Can maintain an overview in pressurized situations
- Enjoys new challenges and takes them with good humor
About us
- A regional hospital that emphasizes multidisciplinary work.
- We are good at welcoming new colleagues even if they are employed in another function.
- A regional hospital with many functional areas. We are about 60 staff.
