Urological inpatient ward at Roskilde University Hospital treats adult patients with diseases of the bladder, kidneys, prostate and urinary tract. We have an emergency function for the Region Zealand and also receive many planned surgical patients. Admissions are short – typically 1-2 days – which provides an exciting flow and broad variation in tasks.
The department will move to the new hospital in Køge in January 2028, and you will therefore be part of an exciting transition to modern and top-functional facilities.
We operate two inpatient wards, Urinary tract surgical ward 1 where patients are primarily elective and Urinary tract surgical ward 2 with acutely admitted patients. We thus have a total of 32 beds. You are hired for both wards, giving you a broad specialty with plenty of development opportunities and close collaboration across.
A team you will want to go to work with!
With us you meet colleagues of all ages and backgrounds – and a strong interdisciplinary collaboration between doctors, nurses, SOSU assistants and secretaries. We help each other, learn from each other and make room for questions and reflections.
Our work environment is characterized by

- Humor, warmth and a social community (both at and outside work if you want)
What do our colleagues say?
Nurse, employed since 2014
- ”Diversity! No two days are the same – and it’s never boring. I learn something new every day, and I’m actually quite hooked on my job.”
Newly employed nurse
- ”I came from a department with a shift every 2nd weekend. With two small children it was difficult. When I saw the posting about weekend shift every 6 weeks, I was sold. It’s pure luxury.”

We are looking for you who
