About the job

We are in the midst of a really exciting development. Over the past few years we have brought home a number of family treatment tasks and built a strong, multidisciplinary family therapist team with high professional expertise and diverse competencies.

We are now facing another expansion of Family Treatment. Therefore we are looking for skilled and engaged family therapists who want to become part of our already strong team and help develop our professional practice further.

With us you will be part of an environment where we work closely together to create positive and lasting changes for children, young people and families. We have a very good and close collaboration with authorities, which is an important part of our joint work with the families.

About Family Treatment

Family Treatment is part of the Center for Family and Youth. We are located on Møllevejen, where we share office space with PPR.

We work with LØFT as a common language and methodological framework between authorities and practitioners. In addition, we work, among other things, narratively and mentalization-based with a focus on the children, the young people and the families' resources, relationships and possibilities for change.

You will work both independently and in partnership with one or more colleagues when the task calls for it.

Our preventive work includes, among other things, shorter counseling processes and practical support in the home, where we help families with structure, routines, cooperation with school and day care as well as concrete coping strategies.

Our interventions under § 32 span widely and are tailored to the individual family's needs. We work with talk programs, mentalization-based family- and parental work as well as practical pedagogical support in the family's everyday life. In more complex cases we work intensively to create changes in the family's interaction, relationships and structure, with a focus on strengthening the child's well-being and development.

What unites our work is that we work closely with families to create positive and sustainable changes in relationships, interaction and everyday life.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has a relevant professional basic education and preferably relevant further education
  • Has experience with complex issues in children, young people and families
  • Has experience with, for example, self-harm, trauma and play therapy
  • Has knowledge of and experience with diagnoses such as autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, OCD, anxiety and depression
  • Has an understanding of complex family dynamics and psychosocial issues
  • Works in an affirming and resource-oriented way with attention to both the relationship and the direction of the treatment
  • Is comfortable working independently while thriving in close professional collaboration
  • Wants to work flexibly, including mornings and evenings and occasional weekends when the families' needs call for it
  • Has a driving licence and access to a car
  • Can communicate well in English

We do not necessarily expect you to tick all the boxes. The most important is that you have a strong professional foundation, a view of the family as a whole, and a desire to bring your competencies into play in a cross-disciplinary team.

We offer

  • A strong professional environment with colleagues who have different professional profiles
  • An interdisciplinary house with close sparring and collaboration
  • Internal sparring and external supervision in a fixed cycle
  • A workplace in development where you have the opportunity to make your mark
  • Focus on professional development and relevant upskilling
  • An attractive working-time model where 38 hours and 40 minutes per week give 2 extra weeks of vacation per year
  • A family-friendly and flexible workplace with trust-based leadership
  • A large degree of freedom and responsibility in planning the work
  • A solid onboarding program so you settle in well with the team, our professional approach and your tasks

What our future colleagues say

“We are a diverse group with a big heart for our work. We laugh together, look after one another and work wholeheartedly to support families in their development.”

“We work independently, but know that we always have each other. It makes a big difference in daily life. I highly value a daily life characterized by a high degree of freedom with responsibility, where there are also good opportunities to influence one’s own work structure. No week is the same, and that makes the job both exciting and developing with variation in tasks, professional approach and pace.”

“The irregular working hours are offset by great flexibility in arranging your calendar at other times.”

Your upcoming leader says

“We work with great trust that the individual employee solves their tasks in the best possible way and with freedom under responsibility. You will become part of a fantastic team with high professionalism, and you will have leadership where my focus is to create the framework for you to succeed and bring your professional expertise into play as best as possible.”
