About the job
We are seeking pedagogical assistants or pedagogical aides for the nursery for 37 hours per week.
At Spiren we work every day to create learning environments where children experience presence, relationships, and opportunities to participate. We are seeking, by mid-November 2026 or by December 1, 2026, dedicated pedagogical assistants and pedagogical aides who want to be part of a professional community focused on children's play, care, and development, and who wish to contribute to a daily life with professional reflection, collaboration, and child communities.
Spiren is a municipal day care institution located in Tarp near Esbjerg. The institution is spread over two houses on the same plot, and we work from a shared ambition to create the best possible conditions for all children's well-being, learning, development, and participation in the community.
We currently have 35/36 children in the nursery, which consists of three rooms with children aged 0–3 years. In the kindergarten we currently have 50/60 children distributed across 4 rooms.
In the nursery, relationships, care, and play are the foundation of our pedagogical practice. We are committed to creating safe environments where children feel recognized, curious, and present, and where they can develop at their own pace together with others. With us you will become part of a working community where cooperation, professional reflection, and shared responsibility are central values.
We are looking for you who
- Want to work with children aged 0-3 years
- Are present and contribute to creating safe relationships and learning environments
- Can actively participate in the children's play, curiosity, and exploration
- Work in an affirming way and see resources in both children, parents, and colleagues
- Take shared responsibility for common tasks and contribute positively to the working community
- Are curious about your own and the shared practice and want professional development
We offer
- A working community with engaged and helpful colleagues
- A daily life with a focus on quality in the pedagogical work
- Opportunity to contribute with your own ideas and competencies
- An work environment characterized by trust, courage, humor, and cooperation
- An workplace where the children's well-being and development are the driving force of our joint effort
At Spiren we work with the Care Sphere (Omsorgsgrebet), which supports our shared professional approach to relationship work, children’s participation opportunities, and the development of safe learning environments. It gives us a common language and concrete tools to understand and meet the children's needs.
