Would you like to help create a new creative gathering place and make a difference for young people in Lemvig?

Hjørnet is a new youth culture house for everyone aged 16 and up. Here you can hang out with friends, be creative, play games, organize events or just find a good community. The Culture Department in Lemvig Municipality is seeking a youth coordinator who wants to help set the direction and bring life to the house together with the young people.

About the job

As a youth coordinator you will play a key role in the development of Hjørnet. You will have responsibility, influence and the opportunity to put your own mark on how the house develops as a youth culture house and community.

You will have a great responsibility to build relationships, initiate activities and engage young people to take co-ownership. At the same time you will be an important driving force in the work to establish a youth association around Hjørnet. You will work closely with Lemvig Library, Lemvig Music School, UNG Lemvig and other local actors who want to create good frameworks and experiences for young people in the municipality.

Your primary tasks

• Support the establishment and development of a youth association around Hjørnet
• Take responsibility for the ongoing development of activities, the creative direction and healthy communities in the house
• Create visibility of Hjørnet among young people in Lemvig Municipality via social media, communication etc.
• Will perform practical tasks in and around Hjørnet
• Will help ensure that the framework and rules of conduct for Hjørnet are observed.
• Plan and carry out events, events and creative activities together with the young people
• Be the link between the young people, the municipality and the Hjørnet association
• Collaborate closely with the Library, Music School, UNG Lemvig and other partners
• Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive and attractive creative meeting place for young people

• Have an interest in young people, communities and cultural activities
• Are initiative-driven and good at turning ideas into action
• Can build relationships and meet people at eye level
• Are responsible and can work independently
• Want to collaborate with both young people and adult partners
• Have an understanding of the interests and needs that young people can have

Terms of employment and info

The position is 8 hours per week with great flexibility. Working hours will vary week to week depending on activities and will primarily be in the afternoons, evenings and some weekends. The position runs until June 20, 2028. Salary and terms of employment are under the current collective agreement and the Ny Løn principles. The starting salary for a full-time employee is 25,615 DKK per month corresponding to a monthly salary of about 5,500 DKK for 8 hours/week.
