We are seeking a professionally strong department head who can set the direction for our social-pedagogical team and help develop and ensure the social-pedagogical quality across the organization.

You will have both personnel responsibility and a clear cross-functional professional responsibility.

About the position

As department head you have the personnel and professional management responsibility for the social-pedagogical function in Jutland. You set the direction, prioritize efforts and ensure that the team's professionalism is translated into concrete value in the offerings’ daily lives. In the daily coordination of the team's tasks you work closely with the social-pedagogical coordinator.

You report to the quality manager and will play a central role in translating the organization's strategic quality goals into practice and monitoring progress across the offerings.

You also lead the organization's work with social supervision and will play an important role in development and quality assurance of documentation practices, systematic follow-up on the social-pedagogical quality and cross-cutting development projects.

In Zealand you will have a coordinating role with respect to Hyldgaard & Larsen Zealand. Here you contribute to coherence and a common professional direction and support collaboration between the social-pedagogical functions, local management and the central organization.

Your primary areas of responsibility

• Personnel management and professional leadership of the social-pedagogical function in Jutland.
• Coordinating the social-pedagogical function in relation to H&L Zealand with focus on coherence, common professional direction and cross-organizational collaboration.
• Responsible for coordination, preparation and follow-up in relation to social supervision as well as a central role during inspection visits.
• Professional sparring with the offerings’ management on social-pedagogical practice, documentation and quality development.
• Development and quality assurance of documentation practices, including relevant procedures and tools, and systematic follow-up on the social-pedagogical quality in the offerings.
• Coordinator/point of contact for cross-cutting social-pedagogical projects and development initiatives.
• Follow-up on social-pedagogical quality targets and development needs as well as new professional and regulatory requirements.

Who are you?

You have a relevant social-pedagogical education, for example as a social worker or a pedagogue, and solid experience from the residential care sector, preferably supplemented with experience in the adult sector.

We also emphasize that you

• Have experience with personnel management and professional leadership and can create direction, structure and followership.
• Have in-depth knowledge of the practice of social supervision and experience in preparing for, participating in, and following up on inspections.
• Have solid experience with social-pedagogical documentation, quality assurance and development of practice.
• Have in-depth knowledge of the laws and regulatory frameworks governing interventions for adults, including the Serviceloven (Service Act) and the Act on Social Supervision.
• Can navigate safely through various assessment and support provisions and ensure that the provided interventions comply with the municipality's decision, the offering's approval, and applicable law.
• Can translate complex professional, regulatory and statutory requirements into clear and usable practical solutions.
• Have strong collaboration skills and can build good relationships across disciplines and organizational levels.
• Preferably have experience with visitation and professional assessment of new inquiries - that's an advantage but not a requirement.
