At Swap Language , we combine live online classes, video lessons, quizzes, and digital learning tools to create structured, flexible, and engaging language learning experiences.

About the role

We're looking for freelance Business English teachers to deliver online lessons to adult professionals at different English proficiency levels.

Our learners want to improve their ability to communicate effectively in international work environments. Lessons may focus on everyday workplace conversations, meetings, presentations, professional vocabulary, pronunciation, or communicating confidently with colleagues and clients.

A key part of your role is to create engaging, conversation-focused lessons where learners get plenty of opportunities to speak, practise, and build confidence.

Lessons are typically based on existing teaching materials, so you won't need to develop an entire course from scratch. Your main responsibility is to deliver high-quality live lessons while adapting the content to the learners' professional goals, language levels, and individual needs.

Your responsibilities

As a Business English teacher at Swap Language, you will

• Deliver engaging online Business English lessons to adult professionals.
• Create interactive, conversation-focused lessons with high learner participation.
• Help learners build confidence communicating in professional English.
• Support learners in improving their fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, and workplace communication skills.
• Use our existing lesson materials as a starting point.
• Adapt lessons to learners' English levels, professional backgrounds, and learning goals.
• Create a supportive and motivating environment where learners feel comfortable practising and making mistakes.

We're looking for someone who is

• Engaging and motivating: You encourage learners to participate actively and speak with confidence.
• Empathetic and patient: You understand the challenges of communicating in a second language.
• A strong communicator: You can explain language concepts clearly and provide constructive feedback.
• Professional and adaptable: You can tailor your teaching approach to different learners, industries, and workplace situations.
• Structured and reliable: You come prepared and deliver consistently high-quality lessons.
• Comfortable with technology: You enjoy teaching online and using digital learning tools.

It's a plus if you

• Have experience teaching Business English or English for professional purposes.
• Have experience teaching adult learners, particularly working professionals.
• Have experience working in international business environments.
• Have a teaching qualification such as CELTA, TEFL, TESOL, or a relevant degree.
• Have experience teaching learners at different English proficiency levels.
• Have an excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
• Have experience teaching online.

You don't need to tick every box. What matters most is your ability to create engaging, practical, and confidence-building lessons that help learners use English effectively at work.

• Schedule: Flexible, with lessons scheduled according to learner demand and availability.
• Equipment: You'll need a stable internet connection, webcam, microphone, and a quiet place to teach from.
• Recruitment process: A short application form, a 60-second introduction video, and a short demo lesson.
