24-hour shifts in Solrød - an engaged team is looking for new unskilled colleagues,

Female with Rett syndrome, 27 years old. seeks 2 new colleagues to divide 5 day shifts with a start time of 07:00-07:00 over a 4-week rotation.

Training will take place as soon as possible.

A cheerful and active young woman

The woman requires help with all practical tasks, personal care, and accompaniment to/from day services and afternoon activities. The young woman does not have any speech, so all communication is via facial expressions, sounds, eye movements, pictograms and a speech device. The perfect Saturday for her consists of sleeping in, relaxing on the couch, having an ice cream at the nearby ice cream shop and a trip to the beach. She also loves cycling, swimming, riding, swinging, and home comfort and must be supported in these.

You will be thoroughly trained by the regular staff on the team, but it is important that you have a natural interest in getting to know the woman and her needs. She requires 100% attention with constant eye contact and close physical contact, as she can otherwise become frustrated and act out. She is a young woman, a loving being and easy to fall in love with.

She lives at home with her parents and two siblings, where she has her own apartment attached to the family house. She should be supported to be an active part of the family on her own terms.

The woman has epilepsy, where some of the seizures require treatment in the form of Buccolam. Knowledge of epilepsy is not a requirement, but an advantage. In addition, the woman has a Mickey button, which you will be trained in. The woman receives supplementary nutrition via the tube, but also eats herself with support from the aides.

Night shift and hours

We are still seeking 1 or 2 more colleagues for our team. The fixed team consists of 4 women and our permanent substitutes, which currently consist of 2 women.

Due to the complexity of the arrangement, it is important that we have a team around the woman who knows her well, therefore you, like your colleagues, must be flexible. It is also important that you can envision yourself in the position for a longer period, in order to create calm and continuity for the woman.

After training and good knowledge of the girl, you will be offered your own 24-hour shifts - further additional shifts that may be available due to vacation or illness in the team.

24-hour shifts are 24 hours with start time 07:00-07:00

Shift rotation over 4 weeks

Rotation 1: either a Thursday or Saturday or Sunday

Rotation 2: a Sunday

Rotation 3: either a Thursday or Saturday

All shifts are overnight shifts.

We are looking for someone with the following competencies

• Interest in / already have knowledge of non-verbal communication
• Robust and decisive
• Trustworthy and responsible
• Empathetic and accommodating

The young woman is currently at home with the team until the right day program is found for her. It is expected that she will start as soon as possible. Therefore, you must have a driver's license and your own car, as the woman needs to be driven to/from day services and leisure activities. You will receive travel allowance based on the state's annual rates. You are responsible for recording your mileage and sending it to your team leader each month.

You, together with your colleagues, will be attached to a fixed team leader, and there are good opportunities for ongoing professional sparring and knowledge sharing.
