At Vesterbro Børnegård we really have a good handle on the professionalism. It is visible in our inspection report, where we have “maintenance” across all themes. We are quite proud of this, and we safeguard our professionalism in everything we do with the children every single day.

As an educator with us you will become part of a small and close-knit work community with a high proportion of educated educators. You will have some very experienced colleagues who have worked here at Vesterbro Børnegård for many years – who still focus on how we can continuously develop and improve our practice based on the latest knowledge.

You will be employed in a nursery group, which in addition to you includes an educator, a childcare assistant and a student teacher – that means you will be four people on the room in the next six months, giving you a very good opportunity to settle into your new job.

We have a special focus on diversity and equality at child level – we meet all children and parents with great curiosity, inclusivity and openness and are very mindful not to “gender” either children or activities.

• You are a qualified educator
• You want to take responsibility for the professionalism on the room and engage in our practice
• You are good at keeping an overview of the group of children and today’s plans and can see solutions in everyday life when what we had planned changes
• You are present, caring and genuinely interested in interacting with the children, which we place a lot of emphasis on
• You are good at delving into the children's play and can easily transform yourself into a fairy or a monster – but you also know when to lead, alongside, or behind in a game

About Vesterbro Børnegård

We are an integrated institution located in a cozy house in the middle of Vesterbro. Here we have two nursery groups and two kindergarten groups. We also have an outlying kindergarten in Snoldelev-Hastrup, where 44 children spend their day.

Inside we have four rooms and a large hall, which we use for motor skills and movement. Outside we have a lovely playground. And we make great use of our local area and seek out both nature and culture together with the children when we follow their interests and curiosity in everyday life.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms according to the applicable collective agreement and within the framework of local pay formation. In connection with the appointment we take references and obtain child and criminal record checks. The position is essentially 37 hours per week.
