About the job

Do you want to help make research on artificial intelligence and society visible, relevant and accessible to researchers, collaborators and a broader public? CAISA is seeking a digital communications and engagement officer for a permanent full-time position starting December 1, 2026.

Your responsibilities

CAISA is looking for a digital communications and engagement officer for the centre's secretariat. You will play a central role in developing and driving the centre's digital communications, so research, activities and collaborations reach relevant audiences. You report to the head of press and communications and collaborate closely to plan and further develop the centre's communications efforts.

Your daily workplace is at Aalborg University Innovate in Aalborg East, and the position is organizationally anchored at the Department of Architecture and Media Technology, CREATE. You will be part of the secretariat and collaborate with the centre's leadership and researchers. You will have independent responsibility for communications tasks and a role in translating research and professional activities into content that is accessible and useful for the centre's audiences.

You plan and produce content for the website, social media, newsletters and other communication channels. The tasks include text, images, graphic material, presentations and updating digital platforms and communication templates. You participate in relevant events for photo- and text production and contribute to ensuring activity and dialogue on the centre's social media channels.

You will be responsible for further developing the centre's design guide and creating a consistent visual identity across communication materials. In addition you contribute to the build-out and operation of CAISA Hub in Aalborg and to research-supporting tasks and activities across the centre.

Your competencies

You have a relevant advanced education in communications, media, journalism, digital dissemination or a related field. You have experience with digital communication and can plan and produce content that fits different target groups and channels. You write clearly in Danish and English and can convey complex academic topics in an accessible way.

You have experience with editorial work, content planning and maintenance of websites and social media. You have an eye for visual communication and for the interplay between text, images, graphics and design. At the same time you can work consistently with the centre's visual identity across communication materials and digital channels.

You work systematically with both planned tasks and activities that arise at short notice. You follow up on agreements, maintain an overview and collaborate constructively with researchers, management and administrative colleagues. You take responsibility for progress and contribute ideas to develop the centre's communications.

Who are we

The National Center for Artificial Intelligence in Society brings together researchers and collaborators across disciplines to create knowledge about artificial intelligence and its significance for society. In the secretariat we support the centre's research environment, activities and collaborations and work closely with researchers, management and external actors.

You will become part of an international and interdisciplinary environment where you have a visible role in creating good conditions for research and scholarly exchange. We collaborate closely in daily work, share knowledge and give space for individuals to shape their tasks. The position offers good opportunities for professional development through collaboration with renowned researchers and through participation in the centre's activities, seminars and strategic work.

CAISA has activities in both Aalborg and Copenhagen. The position is located in Aalborg East at AAU Innovate. There will be meetings and seminars in Copenhagen.
