About the job

Do you want to play a central role in managing administrative tasks in larger research projects (finance and reporting) and coordinate with project managers, project participants, partners and DTU's corporate functions? The Administration Team at DTU Energy is looking for a colleague who can combine structure and overview with advisory and dialogue.

Our researchers have the scientific aspects under control but need help with the administrative during the project lifetime.

The job

You will ensure dialogue and coordinate efforts with the researcher, project partners domestic and international, funding bodies and our central functions, especially finance, on externally funded projects. You will be responsible for following up on deliverables and deadlines and at the same time be a driving force in developing administrative and digital processes, including AI-assisted, generally at the institute.

You will have your own specialist areas/projects, but will also be an important player as an academic staff member at the institute, where we often need to help each other and take on tasks that arise, and where there is a need to be able to analyze, problem-solve, and advise. We see solutions in collaboration and across our competences.

Your tasks

  • Support the researcher in dialogue with DTU's finance function
  • Support reporting and ensure that rules and deadlines are adhered to in accordance with the agreements
  • Be the administrative point of contact and coordinate with partners
  • Ensure progress and drive our projects to completion on the administrative side
  • Support the practical everyday life in the projects, including when organizing workshops and larger events

Process and system development

  • Improve workflows and support digitalization, for example in relation to project reporting in general and follow-up on smaller projects
  • Develop and implement AI solutions in the administration

Other tasks

  • Drive administrative projects and take on ad-hoc development tasks in Team Administration in general

Our expectations of you

  • You have a relevant master's degree
  • Analytical, structured and have an interest and flair for finance
  • Communicative – can explain complex topics in a short, precise and meaningful way, both in writing and speaking, in Danish and English
  • Thrives with giving presentations to larger audiences
  • Plans and engages in dialogue in a timely manner
  • Can collaborate with many different personalities and sees the value of collaboration
  • Has experience with implementation activities in connection with administrative processes – how can we make it easy for our researchers to do the right thing?
  • Curious about digitalization and AI

What we offer you

  • A central role in a dedicated research project support team with wide contact to researchers from home and abroad
  • An environment with flexibility and opportunities for competence development
