About the job

Do you have experience with HR operations tasks from a public organization – or are you ready for a steep learning curve? And do you want to help develop a new Group HR, while at the same time we are busy with HR operations?

Then you have the opportunity to apply for an exciting position as administrative staff in Group HR in the Ministry of Social Security and Emergency Preparedness.

About the Ministry of Social Security and Emergency Preparedness

The Ministry of Social Security and Emergency Preparedness, in close cooperation with the responsible sectors, is responsible for preventing, resisting and managing major accidents, crises, disasters and other events that challenge the basic functions of society – whether it is a cyberattack, sabotage, espionage or extreme weather events. The aim is to align preparedness, crisis management and resilience across sectors so that our society is stronger – in everyday life and during crises.

The ministry consists of the department and two professional directorates: The Agency for Civil Contingencies and the Danish Emergency Management Agency.

Your role and your tasks

In the ministry’s new Group HR, we will support the entire ministerial area. We are in an exciting development phase where we are building Group HR while contributing to the development of the organizations we support. We expect Group HR to comprise about 40 employees, which will be organizationally anchored in the department.

You will become part of our administrative team, where you will initially have 3 dedicated colleagues, but which is still growing.

We are looking for a new colleague who will, among other things, be tasked with

  • Respond to inquiries from employees and managers in a shared HR mailbox.
  • Create new employees in the state's HR (SHR) and send employment letters.
  • Administer our time registration system (mTime).
  • Support salary negotiations with payroll information and preparation of payslips.
  • Carry out payroll control.
  • Administer changes in terms of employment.
  • Administer leave, honorarium and travel allowance, as well as payment of overtime, anniversary gratuity, inconvenience allowance, etc.
  • Prepare data for use in management information.

In addition, you will participate in the ongoing work to map and streamline our processes in Group HR. You will have a close collaboration with the rest of the staff in Group HR. Our aim is to have a good shared working environment where we help each other with both development and operations, and where it should be enjoyable to go to work.

About you

You have a relevant education, e.g., as an administrative graduate, professional bachelor's degree or similar. You can be a recent graduate, but ideally you have a couple of years of experience in a similar position in a government organization.

We also place emphasis on the following

  • Are service-minded and approachable.
  • Can translate knowledge into process descriptions.
  • Have experience with government salary and HR systems.
  • Are thorough and have an eye for detail.
  • Are eager to collaborate closely with your colleagues and meet everyone with a good mood.

Familiarity with terms of employment, including salary placement, in the public sector is an advantage but not required.

In addition, you must be able to thrive in a day that rarely looks as you had planned.

Terms of employment

Employment and remuneration are in accordance with the relevant collective agreement, e.g., the HK and OAO joint collective agreement.

The position is full-time.

Expected start date is 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
