The respite care service Torvevej's fantastic residents need a skilled pedagogue/pedagogical assistant

Torvevej's target group is home-living young people/adults with mental and physical disabilities. The citizens have varying allocated respite days, and the composition of citizens can be new from day to day. The target group includes citizens with both pervasive developmental disorders and citizens with multiple disabilities. A common factor for the target group is that the citizens have needs for care, support and guidance, as well as, to some extent, a daily life at Torvevej characterized by structure and recognisability.

Your competencies

• You have a pedagogical education.
• You are adaptable and thrive with varying tasks, including a mix of pedagogical, health-care and practical tasks.
• You have a flair for nonverbal communication, or a willingness/interest to learn it.
• Are willing to step in and help when a colleague asks for help or a shift in focus.
• You are approachable and open in your body language, facial expressions and tone, and meet our citizens at eye level.

To create the best foundation for the core task, we work on Torvevej in work communities, where the contact persons in the communities work together pedagogically and health-professionally around the citizens.

Your working hours will primarily be mixed shifts, every second weekend and on-call duties 1-4 per month.

Hiring process and salary

The start date is January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible.

We conduct interviews as applications are received.

The position is initially 37 hours and is a permanent position.

We offer salary and employment terms according to the collective agreement for pedagogues and pedagogical assistants in the municipalities.

Employment follows the principles of local pay setting and in agreement with the negotiating organization.

The salary range for the position as a pedagogical assistant is DKK 30,664 - 36,387 per month excluding pension for full-time employment (37 hours per week).

The salary range for the position as a pedagogue is DKK 34,223 - 38,292 per month excluding pension for full-time employment (37 hours per week).

The final salary is determined after negotiation between the employer and the trade union that has the right to negotiate for the relevant collective agreement area. The salary depends, among other things, on your education, documented seniority and qualifications.
