We are looking for substitutes who are passionate about providing care and practical assistance to our citizens in their own homes. With us you have the opportunity to make a big difference in everyday life for seniors and other citizens who need support. Experience is not required – we provide thorough training and introduction so you start well and with patient safety in mind.

Working hours are primarily in the around-the-clock area with day shifts, evening shifts and weekend work. Day shifts typically between 7:00-15:00, while evening shifts 15:00-23:00 may occur due to illness or special needs.

With us

• We always work with a rehabilitative approach – we support citizens to manage as well as possible and help them on to the right offers/support.
• You will be trained at the citizens' homes and have influence on how tasks are carried out in consultation with citizens, relatives and colleagues.
• You are part of a multidisciplinary team with social- and health-care assistants, social- and health-care helpers, therapists and nurses.
• You will receive sparring and support from competence-developing occupational therapists and nurses who follow you closely at the start.

Candidate profile

• You are in the process of a health care education e.g.: Nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist or SOSU assistant.
• You have good collaboration skills, act respectfully and acknowledge in your communication.
• You are a problem-solver and see opportunities.
• You perform your competencies as an unskilled worker for the benefit of citizens.
• You are present and loyal.
• You work from a rehabilitative approach and have an eye for what the citizen can and wants to do themselves.
• You take shared responsibility for your own and colleagues’ well-being, professional development and contribute positively to it.
• You are reliable in attendance.
• You align with our strategy, guiding principles and caring municipality.
• You have a driver's license, but we primarily use electric bicycles during day shifts.
• You work independently and preferably creatively in how you solve tasks.

About the department

Care & Rehabilitation in Lystrup is part of Aarhus Municipality and consists of about 60 employees who meet at Lystrup Centervej 78. We place emphasis on multidisciplinary collaboration, good collegiality and a positive workplace where we have fun and work well together.
