Agile leader for software development and digital products

(maternity leave temporary position)

Do you want to help develop people, teams, digital products and ways of working in one of Denmark's most digitally ambitious member organizations?

We are seeking a group leader in a maternity leave position for the Digital Development, Architecture & BI department. You will become part of the leadership team and will be responsible for a group of skilled software developers and specialists who work in cross-disciplinary and self-organizing teams.

The position runs from November 1, 2026 to January 30, 2028.

About the role and who you will lead

You will take over the group leader role fully during the interim period and will be part of the department's leadership team on equal footing with other leaders.

You will be line manager for a group of frontend developers, digital business developers and digital designers – 14 employees in total. At the same time, you will be agile coach for two software development teams and part of the department's leadership team on par with other leaders.

With us, the role of group leader is primarily a combination of leader, agile coach and culture carrier. Therefore, your main task will be to support the teams' development, ensure well-being and help them succeed in creating real outcomes.

You support individuals and teams in their development and contribute to an environment characterized by trust, accountability and psychological safety. By applying a coaching approach, you will empower teams to navigate complexity, take co-ownership of processes and cultivate an environment of mutual trust and openness and inclusion and psychological safety in a partially co-leading context.

At the same time, you are curious about the organization around you. You listen for patterns, see connections across teams and contribute with perspectives that can strengthen both well-being, collaboration and our ability to create value. Together with the rest of the leadership team, you translate these insights into concrete improvements of our culture, ways of working and direction.

Note that the role does not involve traditional hierarchical task management.

• Conduct 1:1 conversations and support employees' development
• Coach teams and individuals in agile ways of working

• Listen to the department and identify patterns, challenges and opportunities across teams
• Translate observations and insights into concrete improvements together with the leadership team
• Support collaboration between teams, product owners and stakeholders
• Help develop the department's culture and the way we work
• Participate in any recruitment processes and interviews
• Handle annual salary dialogues with employees in your own reference
• Actively participate and with mandate in the department's leadership team

About the department and IDA

In Digital Development, Architecture & BI we develop digital products, platforms, integration solutions and data solutions that support IDA's more than 180,000 members and the rest of the organization.

We are a total of 42 colleagues in the department spread across 6 teams. You will become part of the department's management, which consists of a department head and three group leaders, where one of them is on parental leave due to joyful circumstances.

Who are you?

We place great emphasis on the fact that you

• have worked closely with software development for several years
• have experience in developing both people and teams
• have experience with either formal personnel management or strong informal leadership, e.g. as Agile Coach, Team Lead or similar
• can facilitate difficult conversations, create buy-in and help people succeed together.

In addition, you understand the mechanisms that make cross-disciplinary product teams function and you dare to get close to influence, inspire and constructively provoke when necessary.

At the same time, you have enough understanding of software development to engage in qualified dialogues about development practices and modern digital products.

It is an advantage if you also have experience with one or more of the following

• AI-enabled software development
• modern development tools
• organizational development.

The most important thing is, however, not which tools you have worked with, but that you are curious, learning-oriented and motivated to develop both people and organizations.
