An imaginative and engaged temporary worker for our daycare Hyldemosen

Would you like to help create good childhoods filled with presence, play, movement and plenty of small magical moments? Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for in Hyldemosen.

We are seeking a engaged and caring substitute who wants to become part of our small daycare and step in when everyday life calls for extra hands. It can be when our permanent staff go off for preparation time, or when there is a need to cover for illness and other absence.

As a substitute you will be part of the everyday life across our nursery and kindergarten. We need you to meet the children with warmth, curiosity and calm, and to help contribute to a safe and developing everyday – even when you do not know all of today’s plans in advance.

Daily life at Hyldemosen

Our small daycare consists of 2 preschool groups with 16 children each and 1 toddler group with 12 children. We are located in a small village-like settlement, directly adjacent to a small lake and close to forest and a large nature centre, which we use when we go on outings – on foot, with a stroller or in a cargo bike.

Imagine a morning when you walk in to the sound of 2-year-olds Sofie and Lukas who have just noticed each other’s navel rings. Laughter ensues and they suddenly become aware that they themselves have a navel, which makes the joy even greater.

In Hyldemosen there are 9 permanent staff. In addition, the kitchen has a staff member who every day fills the house with the scent of freshly baked bread and prepares tasty homemade meals for us. And the leader Nicolai, who through presence-based leadership is close to the core task.

In the kindergarten room, a spider has climbed under a glass bowl, so everyone can see it. There are fine dialogues and a sense of community around the spider, and an universe is created where the children bring the spider into their play and the child’s traces thus fill most of the late morning. At the same time the playground buzzes and the motor room hums with laughter and activity, where the children go on obstacle courses, jump, swing, and balance themselves through fun movement games that make both body and mind bloom.

You are a facilitator to ensure the children have a good start to the day. You meet the children with security and warmth and help them settle into a small community. You are both safety net, learning guide and co-observer of all the exciting things that engage the children.

Salary and employment

Salaries are set according to the applicable collective agreement and the principles of new pay. Background checks and criminal record checks are obtained for employees who are employed in day care institutions in Herlev Municipality.
