About the job

Do you love working outdoors, at height and with your hands? Then we have a job where the office is a treetop, and the view puts most offices to shame. We are seeking an arborist for our client in Skibby, a well-established company in tree care, where professionalism and safety go hand in hand with good humor.

At our client there is plenty of room to think big, and that is literally true in the trees as well. Colleagues are a tight-knit team that takes care of each other, shares knowledge and helps one another, both on the ground and up high. There is respect for the craft and for the trees, and you will become part of a team where your experience is used and your opinion is heard.

The everyday work is varied. No two days are the same, because trees are rarely the same. You will travel to private gardens, housing associations, municipalities and commercial properties, and you will take on both small neat tasks and large, demanding felling jobs. The company invests in good equipment and in you being able to develop, so you get the best framework to do a proper job.

Job responsibilities

  • Trimming, topping and care of trees
  • Felling, including sectional felling and felling in difficult locations
  • Climbing and working at height with ropes and safety equipment
  • Root zone care and assessment of tree health
  • Chipping and cleanup after completion of work
  • Customer contact and guidance on tree care at the workplace
  • Maintenance of equipment and ensuring that work complies with safety regulations

Professional qualifications

  • Education or certification as an arborist (e.g., ETW/ISA, European arborist training or equivalent)
  • Experience with climbing, pruning and felling
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and rescue techniques in trees
  • Experience with chainsaw and chipping
  • Driving license B (BE license is an advantage)

Personal qualifications

  • You are responsible and think safety into everything you do
  • You are physically robust and thrive working outdoors, in all weather
  • You are team-oriented and good at communicating in the team
  • You are service-minded and meet customers professionally and with a smile
  • You have an overview and can make good decisions when a tree does not behave as expected

Special conditions

  • Work location: Skibby and surroundings, with travel to assignments in the area
  • Working hours: Full-time
  • Start date: As soon as possible
  • Salary: Competitive pay according to qualifications
  • The work is physically demanding and takes place outdoors in all kinds of weather
