About the job

The Building Department (BYG) in the Region of Southern Denmark is seeking experienced architects who can contribute to the execution of a regionally based project portfolio with a particular focus on the planning and programming phase.

BYG is looking for architects to assist with planning and development tasks in connection with renovations and new construction at the region's hospitals and institutions, with a particular focus on the early project phases.

The architects will support the development of optimal building physical frameworks for the region's hospital units in close collaboration with clinicians, technicians and operations staff.

You will be attached to an existing team of architects and other construction disciplines, under the leadership of a project manager.

The position has its workplace at the Regional House in Vejle.

In addition to close collaboration with your team, you will have touchpoints with the rest of BYG regarding questions related to economy, procurement, political processing, sustainability initiatives, etc. The BYG team works as an interdisciplinary unit, and you will therefore need to solve tasks across different hospital units.

The right candidate

We expect you to have a relevant construction-related education as well as experience from a public client organization, contractor or consultant, preferably from the initial programming and sketching phases. You should be eager to solve tasks within programming, function planning, sketching and project development.

It is assumed that you are an experienced user of Autodesk Revit and the Adobe suite including Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop, as well as Microsoft Office 365 with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

It is positively valued if you have experience with user involvement and project planning.

We expect

  • That you are open, constructive and informal in your communication
  • That you are skilled at conveying information, both verbally and in writing.
  • That your work style is characterized by thoroughness, perseverance and structure
  • That you have a high degree of independence
  • That you can see the benefits of good collaboration, knowledge sharing and the ability to create and maintain good relationships.

About BYG

BYG handles tasks within construction (new builds and renovations) as well as maintenance and energy tasks in relation to the region's units. Thus, the department supports the region's hospital units as well as institutions with guidance and project management within construction and energy areas.

BYG consists of about 90 employees who either work daily in the Regional House or at the individual hospitals. The department represents a diverse range of professional competencies, such as engineers, architects, building constructors, lawyers and economists. The professional diversity reflects a workplace with room for sparring and knowledge sharing across, which means that we largely take on tasks together.

You will become part of a department where the social aspect is highly valued. There is a high level of trust placed in each employee, and it is therefore advantageous to enjoy working independently and proactively. The department is characterized by an informal atmosphere with plenty of humor, large personal freedom and good opportunities to influence one’s own task solving.

We can offer

  • Good working conditions in a pleasant and informal environment
  • An varied, independent and challenging job
  • Good opportunities for personal and professional development
  • A workplace in a dynamic and professional environment
  • Coaching and collaboration with good and experienced colleagues

Salary and employment

The position is anchored to 37 hours per week and to be filled as soon as possible.

The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be told the base salary, centrally fixed allowances and pension in:

  • Academics – agreement 33.01.1

In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
