About the job

Are you a lawyer and would you like to help shape the future requirements for a green and future-proof construction?

In the Danish Agency for Structural Reform's Office for Construction in Copenhagen we translate political ambitions into concrete rules for Danish construction. We are seeking one or more legally strong lawyers who will help implement political decisions into legislation that supports the green transition of the construction sector. It is a task of great importance for both the construction industry and the society we build and live in. Therefore we work closely across disciplines.

We believe the best solutions arise when different perspectives are brought into play, and you will, among other things, collaborate with colleagues from other disciplines as well as representatives from municipalities and the construction industry.

Your tasks

You will become part of a group of lawyers with both extensive and lesser experience. As a lawyer you will play a central role in the revision of the Building Regulations and in the work of developing the rules that set the framework for Danish construction. Your tasks will include drafting laws and regulations, including implementing EU legislation, as well as drafting legal memoranda and contributing to the legal quality assurance of our responses.

You will also participate in interdisciplinary projects on the development of our rules, where you bring your legal expertise into play together with colleagues from other disciplines.

We imagine that you

You have a solid grasp of administrative law rules and can use your legal expertise to find solutions that work in practice. Experience with construction law is an advantage but not a requirement.

In addition we emphasize that you

  • can think holistically and thrive in a cross-disciplinary collaboration
  • are good at collaborating and bringing your legal toolkit into play constructively
  • can communicate and convey complex legal issues clearly and understandably
  • are curious and motivated by achieving results together with and for others.

It is also a plus if you have knowledge of drafting legislation, building regulations, or EU law, or if you have experience from a political organization.

Why you should choose us

With us you will have the opportunity to work with legislation that affects the entire construction industry and the built environment as a whole. You will come close to the legislation that sets the framework for construction and get the opportunity to apply your legal expertise in a developing area.

You will become part of a professionally strong environment where we combine specialized knowledge with close collaboration across disciplines. We place emphasis on professional development, sparring and flexibility, and you will have good opportunities to shape both your tasks and the solutions we develop.

We are looking for both experienced and less experienced lawyers. The most important thing is that you want to use your expertise on a task that has significance for the development of Danish construction – so do not hesitate to apply.

The position is a permanent full-time post with start on 1 January 2027.

You will be employed in accordance with the State Academics Pay Agreement concluded between the Ministry of Finance and the academic organizations. Your job title will depend on your experience. The expected salary level will be stated at an eventual first interview and determined on the basis of objective and gender-neutral criteria, including education, experience, competencies and job responsibilities.
