About the job
Gastro- and Bowel Surgery, Ward 1 at SUH Køge is looking for a nurse who wants to make a difference together with us.
With us you won't have two days that are the same. On the other hand, you will have a high level of professionalism, exciting patient pathways, strong colleagues and a daily life where we take the patients and each other seriously – but not necessarily ourselves.
We work within the upper surgical specialty, where patient pathways range from the quick and uncomplicated to the complex, which truly call for nursing expertise, an overview and cross-disciplinary collaboration. And yes, there are also days when the plan changes three times before lunch.
Who are we?
We receive, care for and treat patients with both acute and planned surgical pathways. In addition, we have patients in palliative pathways where care, professionalism and presence go hand in hand.
We are a department with high ambitions on behalf of the patients, but also with room for laughter, professional discussions and always a helping hand when the pace increases.
With us it is not a slogan when we say that we help each other. We really do.
Who do we hope you are?
You
- Are a nurse with Danish authorization.
- Are curious about surgical nursing.
- Think that both the quick and the complex patient pathways have their charm.
- Can work independently but also know that the best solutions rarely come from alone.
- Have an eye for the patient’s needs and a desire to become even more skilled.
- Contribute positively to the community.
- Want to work person-centered and meet people with respect, care and professionalism.
Experience from surgery is welcome but not a requirement. We can teach you the surgery. It is much harder to teach someone to be a good colleague.
What do you get with us?
- An department with high professionalism and engaged colleagues.
- Rich opportunities for professional development, teaching and sparring.
- Close collaboration with nurses, social and health assistants, doctors and many other skilled professionals.
- A working environment where professionalism, humor and well-being do not compete for space – they go hand in hand.
- Opportunity to help develop the future of nursing through the department’s upcoming nursing strategy.
