Children are wonderful! And at Børneuniverset we have 160 of them.

About us

We emphasize good play, good friendships, and trusted adults.

We prioritise outdoor life all year round, so the children experience and sense sun, snow and rain.

We have electric cargo bikes, which we often take to, for example, the Zoo and Frederiksberg Garden.

We explore culture with, among other things, guests from outside, we have our own theatre room, and we often go out of the house to experience music or see theatre.

All in all we offer a good workplace with plenty of room to grow, good facilities, lots of variety and professional development, good colleagues and many wonderful children.

A little more about us

Børneuniverset is located on Frederiksberg in a green and quiet area. We have 6 toddler groups and 4 kindergarten groups and we have plenty of space both indoors and outdoors.

We are about 45 employees with various pedagogical competences, ages and backgrounds. We work closely in teams and work with the children in smaller groups.

We have a brand new playground, 3 large motor rooms, 2 craft workshops, theatre room, playroom and several pedagogical rooms that can be used as activity rooms, work rooms and meeting rooms.

We prioritise a high level of professionalism in everyday life. Therefore we hold team meetings once a month and joint staff meetings focused on the development of the whole house also once a month.

All educators also have both individual preparation time and common preparation time together with the other educators in the team.

We think ahead, plan and reflect on our pedagogical practice, and we expect you to help think good ideas and develop practice together with us.

A good structure is essential to develop our practice and make us good at our work.

Therefore we focus on our internal structure, and we want to develop and maintain a culture where children and adults remain curious about life, about each other and about our community. In the coming year, for example, we will work with participation and democratic formation.

In the house there is also an active parent board and our own production kitchen that makes tasty, organic food for the children.

About you

• You are a trained educator
• You will be an important adult for the 3-6 year olds
• You have a professionalism/skillset that you want to strengthen and use in daily life
• You enjoy a structured daily routine with room for fun ideas

Practical

The position is an educator position in the kindergarten and is to be filled by 1 December or as soon as possible. Interviews are held on an ongoing basis.
