Our basic curriculum team is looking for a colleague who is passionate about working with young people and conveying the full range of the VVS energy education to students who have just started the basic program.

Would you like to use your experience as a plumbing installer or plumber to educate the next generation – and at the same time achieve a more flexible work-life balance?

At Techcollege we are seeking a subject teacher for the VVS education, where we train the next generation of skilled workers in energy, installation, ventilation and sheet metal, and we are looking for a colleague who is passionate about their craft and about passing it on.

The position is intended to be filled by 15 November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

VVS education at Techcollege

We have four specialties within the program, and you can teach across them – depending on what you are strongest in:

• Energy Specialist – focus on heat, climate, energy and sustainable solutions
• Installation Technician – classic plumbing work with water, drainage, gas and sanitation
• Ventilation Technician – everything to do with air, indoor climate and ventilation systems
• Sheet Metal Worker – roof and facade work, zinc, copper and design in metal

The teaching is practical and hands-on, and you are rarely alone – there are always colleagues to brainstorm with, and you receive solid support when you need to learn how to teach. It is therefore not a requirement that you have taught before.

We would like you to

• be a trained VVS installer – this is a big advantage, but not a requirement, or that you have a background as a VVS professional with another higher education or broad experience from the industry
• have experience working with young people
• want to teach and share knowledge, collaborate and motivate students
• have an interest in planning and delivering instruction – it is not a requirement that you have taught before.
• be curious and open to taking a pedagogical education (we will provide it).

Salary and terms of employment

It is a permanent position of 37 hours per week with start by 15 November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Your primary place of work will be Techcollege, Øster Uttrup Vej 1, 9000 Aalborg.

Employment and remuneration are based on qualifications and in accordance with the Danish Ministry of Education's regulations no. 101 of 1 February 2007 on terms of employment for civil servant-like employees at institutions for vocational education and meal departments.

The position includes a probationary period of two years in accordance with the provisions of the employment regulation no. 101 of 01.02.2007. Applicants without pedagogical education must complete a pedagogical diploma program no later than 4 years after appointment. Techcollege pays for the education.
