Would you like to help set the political direction for one of Denmark's largest industries? And at the same time shape the development of Dansk Erhverv Building? Then the opportunity is now! We are in full swing building Dansk Erhverv Building, and in this connection we are seeking a political chief consultant with great drive and a desire to put construction on the map.

The job

The construction sector helps solve some of our biggest societal challenges. From housing and green transition to climate adaptation, infrastructure and defense. It gives us a broad political agenda and many opportunities to make a difference.

As a political chief consultant you will have independent responsibility to develop and drive political initiatives. You must spot opportunities, formulate solutions on behalf of our members and engage in dialogue with those who can help get them through. We give you space to run with the political balls and follow your ideas all the way to concrete results.

Your agendas might include faster building case processing, simplification of rules, more renovation and circular construction or better framework for climate adaptation. We will tailor your area of responsibility with regard to your competences and ambitions.

Your most important tasks will be

• Develop and drive political agendas from initial idea to proposals, alliances and dialogue with politicians and the civil service
• Build close relationships with member companies and translate their everyday life, challenges and ambitions into concrete political proposals
• Prepare political proposals, consultation responses and analyses in collaboration with colleagues across Dansk Erhverv
• Create visibility for our agendas through press stories, opinion pieces, social media and member communications
• Develop networks and events that bring the sector together and strengthen Dansk Erhverv Construction's political clout and member community

You succeed when the needs of companies become political actions that move something, and when members experience that we are close to them and create value.

Your background includes

You have solid experience with political advocacy or policy development from, for example, an organization, a ministry, a company or an agency. You know the political decision-making processes and know how to take a matter from idea to influence.

We also expect that you

• Have political acumen and the ability to see both the good solution and the path to make it a reality
• Takes initiative, works independently and thrives with responsibility to create progress
• Is strong at building relationships both internally and externally and bring together companies and other actors around common goals
• Writes clearly and can make complex issues understandable and relevant
• Has business sense and a view to create value for the members
• Contributes with curiosity, good energy and desire to help your colleagues succeed

You have a relevant advanced degree. Familiarity with the construction industry and its value chain is an advantage, but not a necessity. The most important is your ability to drive political matters and your desire to understand the reality of the companies.
