Backend Developer

Apply for the position In Document Services we are developing a new document platform based on Quadient Inspire Flex. The platform is part of a move toward more automation, standardization and self-service in the document area.

As a Backend Developer you will be part of that development and will work with solutions from development and testing to production and operations.

Backend, integrations and operations on our new document platform

Your core task will be to develop and mature the document platform and the solutions surrounding it.

You will among other things develop and maintain APIs, integrations and document flows to data sources, archiving, physical printing and digital channels. As part of our DevOps culture you follow your solutions from development to production and work with automated testing, deployment, logging, monitoring and debugging.

An important ambition is to make the platform easier for others to use. Therefore you contribute to a standardized Golden Path for document development and to automation and self-service, which makes development teams and customers better able to develop documents themselves.

You follow the solutions all the way to production. That also means troubleshooting across applications, integrations, platform and document production and a focus on testing, logging, monitoring and documentation, so the solutions are robust, secure and easy to maintain.

After 6-12 months you will have made a clear mark

You do not need to know the document domain or Quadient Inspire Flex from day one. In the beginning it's about building practical understanding of the platform, the integration landscape and the most important production flows.

After 6-12 months we expect that you

• can deliver independently on a prioritized roadmap task, e.g. within batch archiving, physical print, integrations, Golden Path or production maturation
• have taken responsibility for a defined technical area and documented the solution so others can continue working with it
• have contributed to better monitoring, automation or release quality
• actively participate in fault correction and support and use the experiences to improve the platform
• have supported a team or a member bank in a technical migration activity
• have implemented an improvement that reduces manual work or makes the platform easier to use.

You will also have the opportunity to work with AI-assisted development and contribute to good practices for how tools can be used safely and value-adding in development work.

A team with strong domain knowledge and a platform under development

You will become part of Team Document Services in Digital Customer Services with workplace in Fredericia. The team includes competencies within, among others, software development, document and Quadient specialization, business and product.

The team has extensive experience with Bankdata's existing document landscape, document production, members' banks' needs and regulatory requirements. At the same time Quadient Inspire Flex and the new platform approach are still under construction. This means you join an environment where existing domain knowledge meets modern software engineering, automation and platform operations.

Day-to-day ranges over roadmap deliveries, production, support, migration and onboarding. You will get professional sparring and reviews and are expected to make your progress and any risks visible, seek help in time and share your knowledge with the team.

You have a backend foundation we can build on

The role is aimed at you who are relatively early in your career and have already gained practical experience with backend development. If you have shorter experience, it is especially important that you have worked concretely with integrations, CI/CD and operation of production-critical solutions.

We imagine that you have experience with several of the following

• Java, C# or another modern backend technology
• REST APIs, integrations and event- or message-based communication
• CI/CD, automated tests and deployment pipelines
• logging, metrics, monitoring and alerting
• IaC and container orchestration platforms
• AI tools for, among other things, code development, testing, debugging, refactoring or documentation.

The way you work is just as important. You take responsibility for your tasks through to production and stable operation. You seek knowledge and sparring when you need it, and can collaborate with both technical and non-technical colleagues. If you use AI tools, you validate the result and stand for quality, security and compliance.

Grow with the platform

As you learn the domain and platform, you can take greater technical responsibility and specialize in, for example, integrations, developer experience, automation, observability, batch production or the platform's operating model.
