About us

An Establishment and Partner Element Holder at Gardehusarkasernen in Antvorskov near Slagelse, and it is the primary entry point for requesting services from the Ministry of Defence Establishment and Terrain Command.

We provide and develop the physical framework for the military operational units, and the other authorities under the Ministry of Defence, and consist of about 60 employees with diverse backgrounds, including administration and office, cleaning, building operation and technical installations.

Our collaboration ensures close and efficient support for local users from several authorities, who are based both inside and outside the barracks and the exercise area.

We handle tasks such as

• User inquiries
• Purchasing and goods receipt
• Cleaning
• Area maintenance
• Event support
• Supervision and quality assurance
• Technical maintenance
• Building maintenance

About the position

As a leader you will be responsible for the daily management of the staff and the operation of the establishment. In collaboration with the Ministry of Defence Establishment and Terrain Command you will:

• Manage Facility management services and ensure daily operations
• Coordinate with internal staff and external suppliers
• Ensure tasks are carried out in accordance with the Property Administration’s operating manuals and purchasing processes.

In this role you will have a central role with responsibility for planning local operating plans, ensuring high quality in deliveries, and handling any complaints and faults. You will also be responsible for budget management, personnel management and competence development, as well as conducting development conversations, performance reviews and salary discussions.

Although the position has a fixed workplace, you should expect travel activity and tasks outside normal working hours. In the startup phase you will be thoroughly introduced and supported by experienced leaders.

About you

It is a requirement that you have completed a relevant vocational education combined with experience from an operations organization or a public sector entity. It is also an advantage if you have leadership experience.

In addition you have a solid professional background with experience in

• Facility management
• Establishment operation
• Case processing
• Customer and supplier relations in handling external suppliers
• Economy and budget control

We would like you to

• Be results-oriented and have a good understanding of processes and procedures
• Be able to make well-considered decisions and build strong relationships, even in a changing everyday life
• Have good written and verbal Danish language skills
• Be able to communicate with international contacts in English
• Have experience with IT tools and the Microsoft Office suite
• Knowledge of SAP is an advantage. Experience from Defence facilities is an advantage, but not a requirement

Conditions of employment

The appointment is made in accordance with the current Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Teachers’ Confederation and CO10 – Central Organisation of 2010 and the Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Defence Personnel Agency and CO10 and the Central Association for Merchant Navy personnel for civilian employees within the Ministry of Defence under the Central Association for Merchant Navy personnel (formerly the Defence Civil Service).

Depending on your qualifications and competences, there is potential for negotiation of allowances. There is a employer-financed pension scheme attached to the position.

As an employee in the Ministry of Defence’s organization, you are covered by some special terms. You must, among other things, be security cleared and maintain the security clearance throughout the employment period.

You as an employee have a duty to perform service outside the country, including at units in international operations with a view to participation in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peace-making, humanitarian and other similar operations.
