About the job

Would you like to use your knowledge and skills to ensure that all citizens, regardless of physical or cognitive abilities, have equal access to digital services and information?

At the Danish Business Authority we offer an exciting and development‑oriented position in the Health area. We are an area with many different cross-disciplinary competencies and dedicated employees.

An important task in the area is among other things to ensure that all citizens, regardless of physical or cognitive abilities, have equal access to digital services and information. This means that products and services must be accessible so that as many people as possible can use them.

The experience in the department is mixed, where some started directly after study, and others have many years of experience from authorities or companies. What unites us, however, is that everyone is ready to help you get a good start in your new job.

We have a close collaboration with other ministries and agencies, and we always involve our stakeholders in the different professional areas. Therefore you must be prepared to also have an outward-facing and service-minded role towards all our partners.

The mood and engagement are high, and we emphasize that we together create a good workplace where there is room for everyone.

We expect that you

  • Have a technical professional education such as engineer or similar, but your formal background is not decisive.
  • Have experience with case processing or supervision – preferably from another public authority. If you are a recent graduate, we would also like to hear from you
  • Create a good dialogue and meet our customers
  • Thrive in a cross-disciplinary team and contribute to knowledge sharing and collaboration
  • Work structured and goal-oriented, even with many balls in the air
  • See opportunities in new tasks and areas and be adaptable
  • Be familiar with IT and motivated to work with digital solutions

We offer

  • A job with meaning, where you every day contribute to ensuring that products and services are accessible to everyone
  • High professional level and opportunity to make your mark and develop
  • Dedicated colleagues who are passionate about the task and have fun together
  • Attractive employment terms under the applicable collective agreement
  • Modern workplace in Esbjerg with focus on well-being and flexibility

What will you be doing?

Your primary task will be to conduct product checks and carry out supervision based on an audit-based approach, such as online supervision of e-commerce services. You will also perform case processing to ensure that products and services comply with applicable law. In addition, you will contribute to the authority's continued development of the business and digitalization in the area.

  • You will carry out case processing from start to finish. This means you must be able to assess whether the products comply with the rules and be able in a clear and concise way to describe testing needs and interpret test results.
  • You will conduct supervision at companies based on an audit-based method and perform case processing as a follow-up.
  • You will conduct online supervision of e-commerce services.
  • You have an interest and flair for both the technical and legal, and an understanding of the rules that apply to a public authority. You must be prepared to work with several different professional areas and continually familiarize yourself with new material.
  • You provide guidance based on the customer's needs. You take as your starting point the applicable laws and rules when handling inquiries we receive from our customers about concrete cases. You will draw on your knowledge and your ability to engage in dialogue with different types of customers.
  • You have an approach where you work to achieve the optimal data and analysis basis for well-functioning and consistent market surveillance to the benefit of businesses and consumers.

We do not expect you to have prior knowledge of our areas. You will be presented with a specially tailored onboarding plan that will prepare you for our core tasks. But you must be curious and eager to learn, as well as willing to contribute broadly with your competencies.

We take onboarding of our new colleagues seriously. You will therefore be assigned a tutor who will help and guide you in your first time at the Danish Business Authority, so you get started well with the tasks.

At the Danish Business Authority we have many teams with different specialist competencies, but we all play on the same team and are united in reaching the goal. Therefore we emphasize that you are proactive and have the will and courage to engage in broad collaboration across teams, departments and disciplines.
