Therefore we are looking for a skilled project manager who can drive complex projects from idea to reality in one of Denmark's most beautiful municipalities.

South Funen and the South Funen Archipelago are a unique and beautiful area, both on land and at sea. The condition of the sound, however, is far from what we want, and eutrophication is a major and recurring challenge. Grønne Trepart has set a new direction for the use of Denmark's landscapes, and we must translate the large political ambitions into concrete projects with visible changes for the benefit of the sea, nature, food production, tourism and the residents of our municipality.

In the Municipality of Svendborg we are already well underway to create results. We are a team of five colleagues; you will become the sixth, working with the establishment of low-lying and wetland projects while we facilitate and enable collaborations that work to create more nature and more forests in the municipality. We focus on synergies and on creating solutions that improve and develop both wet and dry nature types.

The larger projects are carried out in collaboration with advisers. Parallel to this, we are building and developing our own competencies so that we gradually can carry out a larger part of the project work independently. It is an exciting and challenging process, and we look forward to you contributing your skills and helping strengthen this development.

About the job

You will work independently and purposefully with low-lying and wetland projects, which must be realized through dialogue with landowners, external consultants and relevant authorities.

Your tasks will include, among other things

• Screening and planning of new projects.
• Carrying out wetland-, low-lying- and nature projects from idea to realization.
• Dialogue and collaboration with landowners and other stakeholders.
• Ensuring progress, economy, schedules and deliveries.
• Coordination between the municipality's areas of expertise, consultants, authorities and partners.
• Knowledge sharing and contributing to the development of the team's project culture.
• Communication of projects and professional issues to residents, politicians and partners.

About you

You may be a biologist, hydrologist, environmental engineer, agricultural technologist, forest and landscape engineer or have another relevant background? The most important thing is that you have the right competencies and the desire to contribute to green land-use restructuring with us.

We expect that you

• Have experience with wetland, low-lying or nature projects.
• Have professional understanding of hydrology, natural and environmental conditions.
• Have experience in preparing drainage maps.
• Can drive projects and secure progress, including coordination and financial management.
• Are good at creating trustful relations with landowners and other stakeholders.
• Thrive in collaboration with people who have different professional and practical perspectives.
• Contribute actively to team effort and share your knowledge and experience.
• Communicate clearly and can convey complex issues to different target groups.
• Have knowledge of GIS tools, such as QGIS, SCALGO and similar.
• Have knowledge of relevant subsidy schemes, authority processes and/or legislation.

About us

We belong to the directorate area Environment and Technology, and are 41 employees in the Department of Climate, Nature and Environment distributed across 5 teams with two departmental managers.

Svendborg Municipality develops day by day, we build anew, and we welcome many new citizens. Environment and Technology plays an important role in this development. Salary and Employment

In the Municipality of Svendborg, the salary for this type of position typically ranges between 45,000 and 60,000 DKK per month for full-time employment. The salary includes pension, special holiday allowance and fixed allowances. There may also be shift allowances and other special remunerations. It is important to note that your exact salary is determined by your experience, seniority and competencies and negotiated with the relevant trade organization.

There is a permanent position normalized to 37 hours. The workplace is Environment and Technology, Svendborgvej 135, 5762 Vester Skerninge.
