About the job

Blacksmith: Do you want to teach others?

Become a qualified teacher on the smithing program at College360

You don't need to have taught before. The most important is that you are a skilled blacksmith, eager to work with young people and willing to pass on your professional expertise to the next generation.

We will help you settle well into the role of subject teacher. You will become part of a strong and dedicated teaching team of 5 staff, where you receive coaching and support from experienced colleagues and report to the head of education. At the same time you will be trained in teaching and pedagogy as part of your job.

About the job

You will teach in the smithing program's GF1, GF2 and main course. The teaching is based on practice and the realities that students meet in the industry.

Your tasks will include

  • plan, implement and evaluate practice-based teaching
  • teach students the techniques, working methods and standards used in the smithing trade
  • monitor the students' academic and personal development as a homeroom teacher
  • develop teaching programs and contribute to activities that recruit new students
  • collaborate with colleagues and liaise with smithing companies and other partners.

Who are you?

We are primarily looking for a professionally skilled blacksmith who wants to teach others.

We imagine that you

  • are a qualified blacksmith
  • have several years of relevant industry experience after completing apprenticeship
  • have kept your professional skills up to date through practical work and preferably relevant further education
  • can use standard IT and the industry's digital tools
  • can create structure and clear frameworks for the students
  • communicate professionally with students, colleagues and companies
  • meet young people with interest, patience and respect
  • are keen to develop yourself both professionally and as a teacher.

Teaching experience is an advantage but not a requirement. We ensure you are equipped for the task.

What you get with us

We offer

  • a meaningful job where you continue to use your smithing expertise
  • opportunity to influence and develop the future blacksmiths
  • helpful colleagues and good opportunities for professional sparring
  • a safe working environment and modern teaching facilities
  • a diploma in vocational pedagogy as part of your employment
  • ongoing professional competence development
  • an 18 percent pension scheme
  • paid breaks
  • opportunity to participate in a meal plan.

Employment terms

The position is full-time with start as soon as possible or by agreement.

Salary and employment terms in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Education Union. Depending on experience and qualifications, the salary level is DKK 31,000-36,500 + 18% pension.
