Blacksmith for contractor equipment in Copenhagen S

We are looking for a metalworker (smed) for construction equipment and workshop work in Copenhagen S.

You will become part of a workshop with around 15 employees, where blacksmiths, mechanics, workshop managers and apprentices work closely with the machines. The work involves construction equipment, repairs and metalworking, both in the workshop and when something needs to be solved at the customer. Here, it is machines and metal parts that must be brought back into operation, not desk-bound projects that never get dirty. There is also a focus on keeping up with developments in the trade, so people are updated when machines and methods change.

The special thing here is the combination of pre-processing, machining, assembly and repair. You will have a daily life where your experience as a metalworker is used on solutions that must withstand heavy use. A company car is part of the package, and a driving license is a requirement, because you must also be able to drive out to tasks.

Your daily life

Tasks typically start with pre-processing and machining, before the parts must be assembled. You will work with workpieces, constructions and repairs where the solution must make sense in practice. When a machine part requires more than a standard solution, you use your experience to find a way that can withstand use.

You will, among other things, work with

• Machining workpieces before assembly and repair
• Manufacturing and assembling constructions
• Repairing metal parts for construction equipment
• Working with buckets, wear parts and machine parts
• Say if a solution requires further clarification

A deals must hold, and you will feel this in the way tasks are solved. If something changes along the way, you report it so the customer knows what is happening and when.

We are looking for you who can check most boxes

You do not need to be an expert in every corner of the trade. But you must be able to stand behind what you deliver.

We imagine that you

• Have at least 4 years of experience as a metalworker
• Have a driving license
• Can work with pre-processing, machining and assembly
• Show up reliably and take initiative
• Speak up if something doesn’t add up

It is advantageous if you have worked with construction equipment, machine parts or heavy repairs before. But the most important thing is that you enjoy a daily life where solutions have to hold up in reality.
