Become an SSH apprentice in Roskilde Municipality with pay throughout the entire training – and make a difference for someone

We are currently looking for apprentices who are passionate about helping those who need help in everyday life and who want professional development and to become skilled at supporting citizens in their illness journey or life stage.

Regardless of your age and your ongoing education, you can apply for an SSH apprentice position with us. This applies whether you are applying for Grundforløb 2, aimed at social and health care helper, or employment for the main program.

What do we expect from you? That you are

• Curious, ambitious and eager to learn new things
• Honest, trustworthy and have the citizen in focus
• Interested in the latest knowledge and new welfare technologies
• Respectful of other people – regardless of their age
• Prepared to read and do written assignments - also when you are in training
• Ready to cycle and use your own bike in field training
• Ready to start at 7 a.m. for training
• Have passed 9th or 10th grade with mathematics and Danish before employment
• Can present first aid and fire certificate when you start the main program.

Salary and employment

The education alternates between school stays and training courses. Therefore we have a close collaboration with SOSU-school ZBC. Get more information at: http://www.zbc.dk

The working hours are 37 hours/week, and you can expect weekend and evening work during training periods.

A criminal record check and references will be obtained prior to employment.

How you become an apprentice with us

Your CV – including any information about current or previous positions in Roskilde Municipality.

Documentation that you have applied for an education, and that you are admitted to the school. If you have not yet applied, do so at http://www.optagelse.dk

Any recommendation from a previous position.

Note that you are not guaranteed a position merely because you meet the formal admission requirements.

If you are over 25 years old

When you apply for admission to the program, via http://www.optagelse.dk , you will be invited to a recognition of prior learning (RKV). You should also remember to attach this when applying for an apprentice position.

If you do not have Danish citizenship

You must remember to attach documentation showing that you as a foreign national have residence and work permits.

All apprentices must start with GF2, so if you have not already done it, you must start here.

If you are in progress or have completed GF2, you can apply for an apprentice position for the main program.
