We are seeking talented and education-ready students for an exciting SOSU education, with wages during training and a training placement. START ON 11-01-2027

✨ The social- and health care helper education is for you who want to be a key force in future care and create everyday life with dignity, presence and opportunities for people who need support. You will become a central part of a health service, where relationships, professionalism and holistic care are decisive for citizens' well-being and quality of life.

Through the education you will develop strong competencies in providing care, support and both personal and practical help – but also in seeing the person behind the need and creating security in their own home or in a nursing home. You will be the one who makes a noticeable difference in the small moments, which together form a good life.

As a social- and health care helper you become an important part of a community that works to strengthen citizens' independence, create continuity in care and contribute to a health service that is sustainable, humane and future-proof.

We offer

We expect

The SOSU education is both exciting and demanding – both theoretical and practical.

Therefore it is important that you are ready to learn and take your education seriously, both in school and in training.

We expect you to have the personal and social competencies required to work with people – especially within health and care.

It is not a requirement for admission that you have, for example, a driving license or car, but it is a prerequisite that you can transport yourself by other means when you are in training or traveling to and from school/training.

That you are prepared to begin training at 7 am during the training period, including weekends. You can expect to work on weekends in accordance with FOA’s agreement for pupils.

In addition you must of course

• Be interested in working with people and learning new things
• Have good collaboration skills, as you will meet many different people through your education
• Be flexible and reliable
• Be physically and mentally robust

Admission requirements

• Completed basic course 2 (with documentation)
• A secondary school leaving certificate, a passed PAU basic course or a certificate for the full PAU education also gives access to the education. (with documentation)
• That you hold a valid work and residence permit if you are not a Danish citizen (with documentation)
• A satisfactory criminal record, which will be obtained in connection with potential employment

Employment terms

Salary

You will be employed for 37 hours per week, and you will receive apprentice wages throughout the education in accordance with the current agreement between KL and FOA – Fag og Arbejde.

As a rule you will be paid standard apprentice wages. If you are 25 years or older, you will be paid as an adult apprentice in Guldborgsund Municipality.

The education alternates between on-the-job training and school. Guldborgsund Municipality collaborates and exchanges relevant information with the SOSU school Nykøbing F.
