Child and Youth Advisor to Silkeborg Municipality (Maternity Leave Cover)

We are looking for a Child and Adolescent Advisor for a fixed 37-hour per week position. In addition, we are looking for Child and Adolescent Advisors for maternity cover at 37 hours per week. The positions are for our district teams.

In the Child and Adolescent Advisory Service we work together – with each other, with families and with our partners. We believe that families are experts in their own lives, and we work in a solution-focused and inclusive manner to create lasting changes.

As an advisor with us you will play a central role in the work with children, youth and their families. You will become the point of contact throughout the case process, providing continuity. Additionally, we work in partnerships where the law and/or the case requires it.

Your duties will include

• Advice and guidance to families
• Treatment and follow-up of notifications
• Preparation of assessments and child welfare investigations
• Initiation and follow-up of supportive interventions
• Preparation of the child’s plan and youth plans
• Involvement of the child throughout the entire case process
• Initiation and follow-up of out-of-home placements

We are looking for someone who

• Is educated as a social worker or social mediator – preferably with experience from the children and youth sector
• Has knowledge of inclusive methods such as Signs of Safety and ICS
• Thrives in a high pace and sees professional development as a natural part of daily life
• Works systematically and independently with a view to good administrative conduct
• Is good at building relationships and meeting children, youth and families with respect and curiosity
• Focuses on cross-disciplinary cooperation and involvement of networks
• Contributes actively to a good working environment and team spirit
• Has experience with or knowledge of DUBU
• Has a driving license – this is necessary in the job

About the Child and Adolescent Advisory Service

In the Child and Adolescent Advisory Service in Silkeborg Municipality we succeed together, with each other, with our partners and not least with the children, youth and families whom it is all about.

We are about 100 employees divided into 7 teams, all working with the authority tasks in relation to vulnerable children, youth and families, as well as an administrative team and Family Care. The 7 authority teams consist of our reception, 4 district teams, a special team and Team Holistic Intervention.

We are organized so that one advisor is the ongoing contact for the family. Our reception handles screening in new cases.
