Kindergarten near forest and lake is seeking educators who are curious about slow pedagogy

About the job In Børnehuset Egebakken we are looking for two pedagogues who want to help create strong children's communities and good participation opportunities for all children aged 0-3 years. One position is for immediate employment, the other starts on 1.1.2027.

You will join one of the four rooms in the nursery, which is normed to 44 children in total, where you together with a fixed team will practise slow pedagogy, focusing on care, presence and pedagogical activities at child height – always with the relational and well-being fostering aspect in focus.

You can come as a recent graduate or as an experienced pedagogue. Our only requirement is that you are invested in children's development and well-being and want to translate your pedagogical expertise clearly into a well-structured and inclusive everyday life for the youngest children.

Your tasks will include among other things to

• Join a coordinating team with pedagogues from the other rooms to ensure the common pedagogical direction in the nursery
• Create a structured daily routine that complies with current legislation within the pedagogical field, catering to all children and their differences
• Safeguard and strengthen the good collaboration with colleagues, parents and management
• Be able to lead alongside and behind the children in daily activities, challenges, and conflicts, and be a cornerstone in their emotional and relational development.

About you We value motivation, relational skills and the desire to develop the pedagogical work in practice. If you have a particular interest in nature, music, movement or another pedagogical area, it is a strength we would like to bring into play.

• Is a trained pedagogue (or with extensive pedagogical experience and perhaps a desire for education)
• Believes in, and wants to work with, well-being, development and participation opportunities for all children
• Has a good overview and sees organization as an important part of a day
• Is curious about slow pedagogy
• Has good collaboration skills and is good at talking with everyone
• Takes responsibility and actively contributes to the professional community, including documentation
• Sees development potential rather than limitations
• Is able to look behind children's behavior and is curious to investigate it
• Loves to play, and is not afraid to spend many hours on the floor daily at eye level with the children
• Likes to move and is not afraid to look a little silly in front of the children 😊
• Is a team player and understands the importance of being dependent on each other and lifting together
• Is curious about their own practice and thrives with reflection and sparring
