Om Botræningen Magleby

Botræningen Magleby is a social-pedagogical bot training offer under the Service Act §107. We support young people who, for various reasons, have difficulty managing their own everyday life, and who need an individually tailored intervention in the transition to a more independent life. We are socio-economic, and our social purpose is the focal point of everything we do.

Our target group includes young adults with, among other things, social and mental challenges, developmental difficulties and low cognitive prerequisites. For example, it can be young people with autism, anxiety, learning difficulties or consequences of a upbringing characterized by stress. What the residents share is that they need support, structure and pedagogical frameworks that take their individual needs and resources as a starting point.

Through systematic work with ADL, activities and structure, we help our residents develop their competencies and independence in daily life. This can involve hygiene, cooking, cleaning, laundry, finances, social relationships, and the ability to take responsibility for their own life.

Your role as house manager

As house manager you will have a central function in creating coherence between the pedagogical effort, the young people’s individual goals, and the daily practice in the house. The role includes a professional joint-responsibility to ensure the house as a whole functions. This means you must be able to take initiative, create overview, and ensure that agreements and tasks are translated into practice. We expect you to take responsibility for your role and actively contribute to the house functioning as a whole both pedagogically and practically.

Your tasks will include, among other things, to

  • Contribute to the daily pedagogical work with the residents
  • Support residents' development of ADL skills and ability to handle everyday life more independently
  • Follow up on individual goals, documentation, and pedagogical interventions
  • Coordinate and contribute to the practical tasks and daily routines in the house
  • Take initiative to solve tasks and create structure
  • Collaborate with colleagues on shared solutions and knowledge sharing
  • Contribute to constructive cooperation with relatives and external partners

Who are you?

We imagine that you

  • Are educated as a pedagogue or have another relevant education
  • Have experience from social-pedagogical work
  • Are professionally well-founded and curious about how pedagogical methods can support the individual's development
  • Thrive in a job with a high degree of professional autonomy and independence
  • Can create structure and overview
  • Thrive in having a special responsibility in daily life
  • Are good at collaborating and contribute to a positive professional community
  • Are flexible and solution-oriented, also when everyday life does not develop exactly as planned
  • Can translate professional reflections into concrete actions

What can we offer you?

You take over the responsibility in a house where a good and functional framework for the pedagogical work has already been created. The previous house manager has done a lot of work to build a well-functioning everyday life, which you can use as a starting point in your further development of the house. At the same time you will have the opportunity to put your own professional imprint on the house, develop workflows and help shape the pedagogical practice.

With us you get

  • Great professional autonomy and the opportunity to shape everyday life and develop the pedagogical practice in the house
  • A close collegial community, where cooperation and knowledge sharing are important for the quality of the work
  • Ongoing education in our pedagogical and professional approaches as well as supervision by psychologist Grethe Jayatissa
  • A meaningful daily life, where you help support young adults on their path to greater independence

Do you want to join?

If you can see yourself in a role where you combine pedagogical work with independent responsibility, professional coordination and the desire to create a well-functioning daily life for people who need your help, we would love to hear from you. We can assure you that the work is meaningful, rewarding and contributes to many smiles, laughter and good moments.
