Botræningen Magleby seeks on-call substitutes and sleeping night shifts in South Zealand

In one of our botræning houses, we are in the midst of an exciting development of the offering, where we are working towards around-the-clock staffing. We are therefore looking for engaged and stable employees, including on-call substitutes for day, evening, weekend and sleeping night shifts.

About Botræningen Magleby

Botræningen Magleby is a social-pedagogical botræning offer under the Danish Social Services Act §107. We support young people who, for various reasons, have difficulty managing their own everyday life and who need an individually tailored intervention in the transition towards a more independent life. We are socio-economic, and our social purpose is the focal point of everything we do.

Our target group includes young adults with, among other things, social and psychological challenges, developmental difficulties and low cognitive prerequisites. It can for example be young people with autism, anxiety, learning difficulties or the effects of a upbringing characterized by stress. What is common for the residents is that they need support, structure and pedagogical frameworks that take their individual needs and resources as a starting point.

Through systematic work with ADL, activities and structure, we help our residents develop their competencies and independence in everyday life. It can, for example, involve hygiene, cooking, cleaning, laundry, finances, social relationships and the ability to take responsibility for their own life.

About the job

You contribute to an important social-pedagogical effort, where we together create a safe, predictable and developing everyday life for the residents. We are looking for employees for different shift types:

• Evening shifts
• Weekend shifts
• Sleeping night shifts
• A mix

As an on-call substitute you become part of our fixed pool of substitutes and help cover both planned and urgent shifts. There may be an opportunity for permanent attachment with more hours for the right candidate.

Your tasks may include

• To support and guide residents in daily practical and personal tasks
• To create structure, predictability and safe frames
• To participate in activities, communities and practical chores
• To work in a relationship-oriented way and motivate residents in their development
• To support the house routines
• To contribute to calm and safety in the house at night
• To observe, document and pass on relevant information
• To collaborate with colleagues on the pedagogical effort

We are looking for you who

• Are interested in working with young people and adults with special support needs
• Are stable, responsible and flexible
• Can work independently and at the same time be part of a team
• Are calm, validating and respectful in your approach to other people
• Have good collaboration skills and can keep an overview in unforeseen situations
• Have a valid driving license category B. It is advantageous if you have your own car or the possibility of transport to and from the workplace, as it can be difficult to travel back and forth by public transport.

It is a great advantage if you have experience with vulnerable youths or adults and experience from another housing facility, overnight area or similar offering. It would also be an advantage if you are a student or trained within the pedagogical field, but a pedagogical education is not a requirement. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, maturity, responsibility and motivation to work with the target group.

Salary is determined based on qualifications. We operate from a fixed salary with no allowances.
