About the job

An exciting combined position where you will have the opportunity to work with both CT scanning and radiotherapy.

Do you want to use your radiography professional skills in a high-tech specialty where precision, technical ability and presence with cancer patients go hand in hand?

At Stråleklinik Vest we offer an exciting combined position where you will have the opportunity to work with both CT scanning and radiotherapy. You will become part of a dedicated, multidisciplinary team, where we work together to give patients the best possible treatment and experience. Stråleklinik Vest is part of the Cancer Department at Aarhus University Hospital, but is physically located at Regionshospitalet Gødstrup.

We are a clinic in development, where professionalism, collaboration and patient care are the focus of our daily work.

A daily routine with both CT scanning and radiotherapy

As an S-radiographer with us, you will have a versatile workday, combining your competencies in medical imaging and radiotherapy.

You will have a role at our CT scanner, where you, together with a colleague, handle the preparation, positioning, immobilization and scanning of patients who are to receive radiotherapy.

The CT scan forms the basis for the subsequent dose planning and is thus an important part of the patient’s treatment course. You will play a central role in ensuring correct and reproducible patient positioning, high image quality and precise execution of the scans. The work requires anatomical understanding, technical insight and attention to detail – while at the same time you help create security for the patient through information, care and presence.

The remaining time you will be involved in the work at our accelerators, where you, together with your colleagues, handle the daily radiotherapy.

You will thereby have the opportunity to follow the patient’s course from the initial CT scan to the subsequent radiotherapy and bring your skills into play across the treatment pathway.

A strong professional and social community

We focus on creating safe and coherent patient pathways, where high professional quality and care go hand in hand.

Our culture is characterized by openness, humor and an informal tone. We help each other, share our knowledge and prioritize a work environment where there is room for both professional deepening, sparring and collegial support.

With us you will have the opportunity to

  • combine your radiography competencies in CT scanning and radiotherapy
  • work with advanced technology where precision, image quality and patient safety are crucial
  • follow and support cancer patients through longer treatment courses
  • work in small, stable teams where professional sparring and collegial support are a natural part of daily life
  • work closely with different professional groups on planning and implementation of radiotherapy
  • become part of an engaged and welcoming team where we value job satisfaction, inclusivity and community highly.

Working hours are primarily on weekdays between 7:30 and 15:00 with the exception of a few holidays or evenings.

We offer you

  • a structured and individually tailored introductory program
  • qualified teaching and ongoing competence development
  • a fixed mentor who supports and guides you in the first period in the clinic
  • a professional environment with good opportunities for sparring and development
  • influence on shift and vacation planning and good opportunities for flexibility.

We are looking for someone who

  • is a trained radiographer with radiotherapy as a focus
  • has an interest in both CT scanning and radiotherapy and is motivated to combine the two areas
  • works carefully and systematically with focus on quality and patient safety
  • can maintain an overview in a busy daily routine with complex problems
  • wants to contribute with your knowledge and experience to shared learning and development
  • meets patients, relatives and colleagues with openness, respect and care
  • wants to be an active part of our professional and social community.
