About the job

Institute for Building, City and Environment seeks a decentralized student study advisor for the programs under the Study Board for Building, City and Environment in Copenhagen. The position is available from 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The position concerns advising students and prospective students within areas such as

  • Educational content on the different directions
  • Admissions
  • Study transfers
  • Study termination
  • Exemptions and merits
  • Help to structure exam revision
  • Student ambassador duties
  • Ongoing cooperation with the study team at BUILD

In addition, the job includes outward-facing activities such as Open House and Study Practice, students for a day etc.

The study guidance takes place in collaboration with Study and Wellbeing Guidance, Study Leader, Chair of Studienævnet and the Studienævns secretary.

To prepare you to be able to provide competent guidance, the job includes a paid course in Study Guidance. Until this course, you will be trained by the other student study counselors and the study team.

As a person you must be

  • Open
  • Positive
  • Structured
  • Approachable and well-informed, as you will represent the studies and the university in many different contexts, e.g. at high schools, Open House and other events.
  • It is expected, among other things, that you can present and explain academic content about the programs under Building, City and Environment to the students, for example in presentations about exam rules and introduction to new students.
  • It is also expected that you can operate in English.

Employment: Hours are a maximum of 8 hours per week. In busy months – around study start, Study Practice and Open House – the workload is greatest. The number of hours is adjusted in collaboration with your study guidance colleagues and the study team, which means there is an opportunity to reduce the hours around project submission/exams etc. In addition, there will be a handover period, during which you will gradually become more and more integrated into the job’s various tasks.

Applicants are welcome to contact student study guidance at [email protected] or the Studienævns secretary – [email protected] with questions regarding the position’s content.

The employment is conditional on you being an active student.
