About the job

Would you be part of building the road to a more efficient, digitally supported and future-proof administration and be a key driver of the digital transformation in the Children's and Youth Administration in Copenhagen?

The Children’s and Youth Administration (BUF) in the City of Copenhagen is Denmark's largest administration with around 80,000 users and 20,000 employees. It obligates, and it sets high requirements for how we organize, develop and digitally support our tasks for the benefit of employees and managers in the administration – and most importantly – for the benefit of children and young people in Copenhagen.

Therefore we established in spring a new, ambitious digital taskforce – TADO (Task Force for Administrative Digital Transformation) – and are now seeking more colleagues who can translate user needs and insights into simpler workflows and better digital solutions.

About the Task Force for Administrative Digital Transformation (TADO)

TADO is an important strategic driver behind the digital transformation of the administration in BUF. The task force’s purpose is to accelerate and expand administrative digitization – focusing on capturing the needs of users and translating them into timely, value-creating digital solutions based on both proven and new technology.

Through concrete initiatives, trials and development projects, TADO shall

  • Make administrative workflows more efficient and simpler
  • Test and implement new technologies
  • Create better digital solutions that free up time for core tasks
  • Contribute to making digital tools a natural and integrated part of our way of working

About the role

As a business and process consultant you will be the one who, together with the administrative units, identifies and analyzes potentials for digital transformation, gathers user needs and shapes the new digital workflows.

You may have your professional focus in business analysis, UX or process optimization. We do not expect you to know it all – we assemble a team with different competences that complement each other.

You shall, together with others in the team and with managers and subject matter experts, analyze, redesign and assist in digitizing central administrative processes across the administration.

Since TADO is still in a building phase, you should also help build methods and common processes that the team will use going forward. Therefore we are looking for you who can think methodically, have strong collaboration skills and are delivery-focused.

Main areas of responsibility

Depending on your background and competences you will work with a number of the following areas:

  • Identify user needs, administrative workflows and digitalization potentials together with managers and subject matter experts – and assess the possible gains
  • Design simpler processes and user journeys and test solutions with users, e.g. through interviews, workshops and prototypes
  • Translate user needs and process requirements into concrete requirements and priorities in close collaboration with developers
  • Support implementation and follow up on whether the new solutions work in practice and deliver the expected improvements
  • Contribute to raising the digital maturity in the administration

Your qualifications and competencies

We imagine that you have a relevant higher education degree. In addition, it is an advantage if you have experience in participating in cross-disciplinary teams in digitization projects or programs. You have probably worked in larger organizations or as a consultant and with development projects in the intersection of technology and business.

We would like you to have theoretical knowledge of and preferably practical experience with digitization, process analysis and optimization. Either from the business side or from a digitization function. It is an advantage, but not a requirement, that you have experience with technologies such as RPA/RDA, AI or ServiceNow. You may have experience from roles such as business analyst, UX designer, business architect, digitalization consultant, process consultant or the like.

You may have many years of experience behind you, but we also welcome applicants early in their career who are ready for the next step in their development.

As a person you are solution- and holistic-oriented and collaborative. You thrive on creating structure and progress from the ground up and can balance involvement and results focus. You are clear and trust-building in your communication, a good colleague, helpful and respectful of other professions. Your curiosity about new technologies is combined with an eye for how they create real value – always with an understanding of the human dimension of change processes.

We offer

The position is located in the Administrative Resource Center (ARC) of the Children and Youth Administration, located in ATLOS, which works with strategic and operational management support as well as development projects.

You will become part of a dedicated and interdisciplinary team where we challenge existing solutions, spar, share knowledge and collaborate across disciplines – always with a focus on making a difference for employees, managers and not least for children and young people in Copenhagen. We have an informal tone and place emphasis on it being both fun and inspiring to go to work. Flexibility and work-life balance are highly prioritized.

We therefore offer you

  • A unique opportunity to set the direction for the administrative digital transformation and shape a new function
  • Great visibility and influence – you will help shape how we work and develop
  • A strong, interdisciplinary environment with high professionalism, close collaboration and curious dialogue
  • Good opportunities for skills development and a workplace that values balance between work and leisure
  • A meaningful purpose – we work to create the best conditions for the city’s children to unfold their potential

If you can see yourself in this role – with the desire to build anew, drive digital transformation and create real results – we look forward to receiving your application.

Employment terms

Salary and terms of employment are set in accordance with the applicable collective agreement depending on your qualifications and after negotiation with the union organization entitled to negotiate.

The positions are full-time and with immediate start possible. You will be based at Nyropsgade 7 in Copenhagen K.

Expected start date 1 November 2026 or as soon as possible.

If you have questions, you are welcome to contact Bo Kristian Haue (head of ATLOS) at 22 16 72 66 or Anders Wright Thomsen (interim lead for TADO) at 20 95 28 80.
