About the job

Do you want to help build the road to a more efficient, digitally supported and future-proof administration and be an important driver of the digital transformation in the Children and Youth Administration in Copenhagen?

The Children and Youth Administration (BUF) in the City of Copenhagen is Denmark's largest department, with around 80,000 users and 20,000 employees. It imposes obligations and sets high requirements for how we organize, develop and digitally support our tasks for the benefit of employees and leaders in the administration – and most importantly – for the benefit of children and young people in Copenhagen.

Therefore we established in the spring a new, ambitious digital taskforce – TADO (Taskforce for Administrative Digital Transformation) – and now seek more colleagues who can translate user needs and insights into administrative processes into simpler workflows and better digital solutions.

About Task Force for Administrative Digital Transformation (TADO)

TADO is an important strategic driver behind the digital transformation of the administration in BUF. The task force's purpose is to accelerate and expand administrative digitization – focusing on capturing the needs of the users and translating them into timely, value-creating digital solutions based on both tested and new technology.

Through concrete initiatives, pilots and development projects, TADO should

  • Streamline and simplify administrative workflows
  • Test and implement new technologies
  • Create better digital solutions that free up time for core tasks
  • Contribute to digital tools becoming a natural and integrated part of our way of working

About the role

As a business and process consultant you will be the one who, together with the administrative units, identifies and analyzes opportunities for digital transformation, collects user needs and shapes the new digital workflows.

You may have your professional focus in business analysis, UX or process optimization. We do not expect you to master everything – we will assemble a team with different competencies that complement each other.

You will thus, together with others in the team and together with managers and subject matter experts, analyze, redesign and assist with digitizing central administrative processes across the administration.

Since TADO is still in a development phase, you will also help build methods and common processes that the team will work from going forward. Therefore we are looking for someone who can think methodically, has strong collaboration skills and is delivery-focused.

Primary areas of responsibility

Depending on your background and competencies, you will work with a number of the following tasks:

  • Identify user needs, administrative workflows and digitization potentials together with managers and subject matter experts – and assess the possible gains
  • Design simpler processes and user journeys and test proposed solutions with users, e.g. through interviews, workshops and prototypes
  • Translate user needs and process requirements into concrete requirements and priorities in close collaboration with developers
  • Support implementation and follow up on whether the new solutions work in practice and deliver the expected improvements
  • Contribute to raising the digital maturity in the administration

Your qualifications and competencies

We imagine that you have a relevant higher education degree. In addition, it is an advantage if you have experience participating in cross-disciplinary teams in digitization projects or programs. You have likely worked in larger organizations or as a consultant and with development projects at the intersection of technology and business.

We would like you to have theoretical knowledge and preferably practical experience with digitization, process analysis and optimization. Either from the business side or from a digitization function. It is an advantage, but not a requirement, that you have experience with technologies such as RPA/RDA, AI or ServiceNow. You may have experience from roles such as business analyst, business analyst, UX designer, enterprise architect, digitization consultant, process consultant or similar.

You may have many years of experience, but we also welcome you if you are at the start of your career and ready for the next step in your development.

As a person you are solution- and holistic-oriented and collaborative. You thrive on creating structure and progress from the ground up and are able to balance involvement and result orientation. You are clear and trust-building in your communication, a good colleague, helpful and respectful of other disciplines. Your curiosity about new technologies is combined with an understanding of how they create real value – always with an appreciation for the human dimension of change processes.

We offer

The position is placed in the Administrative Resource Center (ARC) of the Children and Youth Administration, located in ATLOS, which works with strategic and operational management support as well as development projects.

You will become part of a dedicated and cross-disciplinary team where we challenge existing solutions, brainstorm, share knowledge and collaborate across disciplines – always with a focus on making a difference for employees, leaders and not least children and young people in Copenhagen. We have an informal tone and emphasize that it should be both fun and inspiring to go to work. Flexibility and work-life balance are highly valued.

We therefore offer you

  • An unique opportunity to set the direction for the administrative digital transformation and shape a new function
  • High visibility and influence – you will help shape how we work and develop
  • A strong, cross-disciplinary environment with high professionalism, close collaboration and curious dialogue
  • Good opportunities for skills development and a workplace that values balance between work and private life
  • A meaningful purpose – we work to create the best frameworks and conditions for city children to realize their potential

If you can see yourself in this role – with a desire to build new, drive digital transformation and achieve real results – we look forward to receiving your application.

Employment terms

Salary and employment terms are determined in accordance with the applicable collective agreement depending on your qualifications and after negotiation with the union organization entitled to negotiation.

The positions are full-time and with start as soon as possible. You will be stationed at Nyropsgade 7 in Copenhagen K.

Expected start date is 1 November 2026 or as soon as possible.

If you have any questions, you are welcome to contact Bo Kristian Haue (head of ATLOS) on 22 16 72 66 or Anders Wright Thomsen (interim lead for TADO) on 20 95 28 80.
