Café Manager for Café GreenHouse – Silkeborg Golf Club

Silkeborg Golfklub has ambitions to be among Denmark's best golf clubs. It should not only be felt on the golf course – it should be experienced across the entire club. Café GreenHouse is the club's natural gathering point for members, guests, sponsors and companies. We want to elevate the café so that it matches the level and development in the rest of Silkeborg Golfklub.

Therefore we are seeking a strong host, leader and merchant who is also good at cooking – and who wants to develop Café GreenHouse.

For us it's about good food, good hospitality and great experiences – while the café must also be a healthy business.

About the job

As Café Manager you will have the overall responsibility for the operation and development of Café GreenHouse and become a central part of the daily management.

You will have great freedom and mandate to shape the café – including the opportunity to develop the team, the menu, the service level, staffing, workflows and the culture that should characterize Café GreenHouse.

You will among other things be responsible for

• development of food, menu, assortment and concepts with focus on quality and the overall customer experience
• the daily operation and ongoing development of Café GreenHouse
• leadership, development and staffing of the café's team
• economics, purchasing and budgeting in collaboration with the daily management
• sales, development and hosting of parties, tournaments, Company Days and other events
• development of the café's organization, workflows and culture

In short: You will be responsible for people, food, experience and business.

Who are you?

You are likely to come from the restaurant, café, hotel or experience industry and have experience with cooking and operations. You don't necessarily have to be a trained chef or a golf player, but you should be skilled at cooking and eager to work in the kitchen yourself. You do not lead the café from the sidelines – you are visible,

lead by example together with your team and actively participate in the daily operations.

• have an eye for tasty food and a menu where quality, simplicity and economics go hand in hand
• have financial understanding and can work with budgets, wage percentages, consumption and profitability
• can create structure and keep an overview – even when it is busy
• thrive with responsibility, freedom and decision-making power

The position naturally follows the golf season with high activity in the golf season and correspondingly lower activity in winter. Working on selected evenings and weekends is a natural part of the job.

We are looking for someone who can lead the business and also roll up their sleeves.

Silkeborg Golfklub is one of Denmark's largest golf clubs with about 1,800 members and a high level of activity with golf, tournaments, Company Days, sponsor events and social occasions. Café GreenHouse is an important part of club life. Here members, guests, friends and companies meet before and after golf. The café is therefore not just a restaurant – it is an important part of the overall experience of Silkeborg Golfklub.

You will get a central leadership position with the opportunity to make a real difference.

Salary and other terms: Negotiated individually based on qualifications and experience.
