Cafeteria worker at Gammelgaard School

About the job

Gammelgaardsskolen is looking for a cafeteria assistant for 30 hours per week with start date January 1, 2027. The working hours will be arranged so that you have time off during school holidays. Your working hours will consequently have relatively more hours on school days.

Gammelgaardsskolen is located in Åbyhøj and has around 120 staff and 1000 pupils. The canteen is in the basement right by the entrance from the schoolyard.

Our canteen aims to produce as much food from scratch as possible, and it is organic. We place importance on sustainability and aim to reduce food waste, which is why we prefer a candidate who either has a culinary education or extensive experience in the field.

Your profile

As a canteen assistant you must be professional and strong in the core task – food production. At the same time, it is important that you can meet the requirements for a healthy diet in accordance with Aarhus Municipality’s Nutrition Policy as well as the locally adopted dietary principles decided by the school board at Gammelgaardsskolen. It is also important that you have pedagogical flair and an appreciative approach and communication. Finally, it is expected that you can ensure good collaboration in the kitchen team and participate in cooperation with the pedagogical leadership at Gammelgaardsskolen. Therefore, it is important that you want and are able to collaborate with many different people. You should also expect to be part of an environment where many inquiries and suddenly arising needs contribute to making the days unpredictable and varied.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the agreement between the relevant union and KL. The position is covered by new pay scales.
