Are you the type who takes it with a smile when the liver pâté sandwich suddenly ends up in your hair? Can you sing The Wheels on the Bus 14 times in a row without losing the melody – and do you possess the rare superpower to comfort, read a picture book and tie shoelaces all at once? Then you are exactly who we are looking for.

As one of our skilled pedagogues goes on maternity leave, we are seeking a professionally grounded pedagogue for a maternity cover of about 1 year.

Stubbekøbing Børnehus is an integrated institution with two nursery groups and two kindergarten groups – in total 55 wonderful children and 15 dedicated colleagues. We work from a clear structure with division into smaller groups, where there is room for relationship work, children's participation and real deepening. The whole house is in full swing with competence development in NEST pedagogy, which constitutes our shared professional foundation. At the same time we prioritize early language stimulation and the children's sensorimotor development through body, senses and nervous system in everyday routines.

Your tasks

• Set the professional direction for the room and create a safe, structured and developing daily life in close collaboration with your colleagues.
• Plan, execute and evaluate pedagogical activities with starting point in The Strengthened Pedagogical Curriculum and the NEST principles.
• Develop inspiring learning environments and follow the individual child's wellbeing and development – including observations and early intervention in consultation with management and cross-disciplinary collaborators.
• Be a safe and clear sparring partner in daily parent collaboration.
• Provide professional sparring to the room's pedagogical assistant and actively contribute to a strong working environment.

• Is educated as a pedagogue with a beating heart for the 0-3-year-old area.
• Is appreciative, calm and meets both big emotions and curious little bodies with care and professional depth.
• Maybe has a little "language- or movement-spark" in you that you would like to bring into daily sensory experiences and motor play.
• Is curious about the NEST approach and thrives on thinking in inclusive frameworks that support the community.
• Takes shared responsibility for the whole house and contributes to the good atmosphere in the staff room.

The village arrangement Stubbekøbing is a learning community for children aged 0-16 years. In total we are 350 children distributed across: Stubbekøbing School, Stubbekøbing Børnehus and Æblehuset in Horbelev. Geographically we are all located on Northeast Falster, where we enjoy the beautiful nature and the interaction with the local community. We collaborate on the children's wellbeing, development and learning in a holistic perspective and take pride in being a central part of the village community, and have several joint projects across the kindergartens and school/after-school care throughout the year.

Practical information

Employment terms: According to the applicable collective agreement. Permanent position of 37 hours per week. The position is from January 1, 2027.
