Caregiver needed for a lovely 6-year-old boy near Hinnerup

We are looking for a caring, present and engaged respite caregiver for a lovely 6-year-old boy who lives with his parents and siblings in the area around Hinnerup.

The boy has Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome, which leads to significant delays in his motor and language development. He attends a special school and does not have verbal speech. He communicates mainly through sounds and sign language.

At home, English is spoken, so it is a plus if you can communicate in English.

About the task

The task mainly consists of being with the boy and creating a safe, cozy and active afternoon where activities are adapted to his needs and daily form.

He can walk on his own but needs light guidance and support. For example, by holding his hand. For longer outings he uses a wheelchair.

Outdoor activities can include

• Visits to the playground in the local area
• Swinging
• Trampoline
• Short walks and other activities that suit his level

Indoor activities can include

• Play on a small trampoline
• Playing with toy cars and Duplo
• Sing and make music
• Other calm and cozy games

The most important thing is that you want to be present with him and meet him where he is.

Working hours

The position is 15 hours per month .

The working hours will be

• Every other Sunday
• Weekdays 15:00–18:00 , afternoons to be agreed with the family

There is a possibility that the working hours can be adjusted by mutual agreement.
