Caseworker for the Sickness Benefit Area in Favrskov Municipality

Sick-pay and the Staff Department are seeking a caseworker for a 37-hour per week temporary position from 1 December 2026 to 30 November 2027.

About the position

We are looking for a caseworker with knowledge of sickness benefit legislation and a desire to work in the role of sickness benefit caseworker. The position includes working on sickness benefit cases for both retention cases, unemployed people on sickness absence, and citizens in job clarification programs. Depending on your profile, work with self-employed on sickness absence and flexible job seekers on sickness absence may also be included.

Sick-pay department's core task is to help the sick-listed regain their work capacity and return to the labor market as quickly and appropriately as possible. Central elements of the effort include:

• Job retention
• Assessment of inability to work
• Clarification of work capacity
• Advice and guidance
• Coordination of the effort between relevant actors in sick-pay and job-clarification programs

Your tasks

As a caseworker your tasks will among other things be to

• Assume the authority role in relation to the sick-listed citizen
• Hold conversations with citizens – in person, by telephone and digitally.
• Employer services to employers
• Provide advice and guidance on retention, including among other things § 56 agreements and the disability-compensating arrangements
• Clarify and manage initiatives such as partial return-to-work, work placement and other relevant offers under the employment legislation

• You have knowledge of the area’s laws and regulations.
• You can provide good service to the sick-listed as well as other parties in a sickness-benefit effort.
• You can balance between being helpful/service-oriented and exercising authority.
• You can plan, coordinate and work independently.
• You can engage in interdisciplinary collaboration.
• You can thrive in an unpredictable and busy everyday life.
• You have good IT skills

Sick-pay department consists of 18 caseworkers, 4 job consultants, a benefits team and administrative staff in our support function.

Salary and employment terms

The position is 37 hours per week. The position is expected to be filled by 1 December 2026 or earlier. It is a one-year temporary contract.

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable HK or DS collective agreement.

You will be employed by Jobcenter Favrskov with the current workplace in the administration building at Vesselbjergvej 18 in Hadsten. You should expect that, in addition to meetings in Hadsten, there may also be meetings at other locations in and outside Favrskov Municipality, e.g., with an employer or a doctor.

In Favrskov Municipality there is, as a rule, the possibility to work from home one day a week if you wish and the tasks permit it. An arrangement for this must be agreed with the Head of Sickness Benefit and Staff on a case-by-case basis.
