About the job
Do you dream of developing Danish cattle production? Do you want to translate the latest knowledge into results out with the farmer? And do you know more than the average about cow feeding, nutrition and the climate footprint? Then you might be our new colleague.
At SEGES Innovation we are looking for a colleague who is willing to lead and develop projects that generate new knowledge and concrete solutions within feeding, nutrition and reducing the climate footprint of cattle production.
The goal is to connect research and experiments with practice and thereby ensure that new knowledge creates value in cattle farming. Innovation closely aligned with practice is SEGES Innovation's x-factor.
About the job
You will become part of a team of 14 dedicated and highly educated “cow nerds” who are passionate about cows and cattle production.
You will work with feeding and climate – for example new feed ingredients, feed additives and solutions that can reduce methane emissions from cattle production.
You will be both project manager and participant in development projects, where you work closely with colleagues, farmers, advisors and external partners. As a project manager you will be responsible for gathering the right expertise, ensuring progress and finances and translating project results into solutions that can be used on Danish cattle farms.
What do we dream of?
We dream of an idea-rich colleague who wants to find practically applicable solutions to academically complex challenges in cattle farming. You have insight into cattle feeding and physiology, and you should be keen to work with project management and have an interest in solutions that reduce the climate footprint of cattle production.
Additionally it would be advantageous if you
- Have knowledge of the link between feeding, production, economy and climate
- Have experience in developing, leading and carrying out interdisciplinary projects with many collaborators
- Have experience as an advisor, researcher, teacher or similar
- Can communicate academically complex issues in an easily understandable language in both Danish and English.
We offer you
- A strong professional environment with dedicated and highly educated colleagues
- Opportunities to make your professional mark on development within the cattle sector
- A job where development and new knowledge are closely linked to farmers and practice
- Good opportunities for professional and personal development.
In addition we offer attractive employment terms with a pension scheme, health insurance, good opportunities for competence development and an active staff association.
Practical information
Appointments for interviews are held on an ongoing basis, and we wish to hire as soon as possible.
