Do you want to lead a large and significant welfare area and help set the direction for the daily life of children and young people in Tårnby Municipality?

Tårnby Municipality is seeking a center manager for the newly established Center for Pedagogy, Leisure and Education. The municipality is bringing together the former centers for early childhood, school and leisure into one new center with the ambition to strengthen coherence across the area. As center manager you will thus have a unique opportunity to shape the development of a new consolidated area and create a clear through-line in the development, well-being and daily life of children and young people in Tårnby Municipality.

Opgaverne - det du skal hos os

As center manager you will lead the establishment and development of the new consolidated Center for Pedagogy, Leisure and Education. You must set a clear direction for the continued development of the area and create good frames for managers and staff to succeed with the core task. A central part of the task will be to continue the good work already taking place in Tårnby Municipality.

In addition to the development of the new center, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for the entire 0-18-year area and translating political ambitions into concrete results close to children, youths and families. You must create momentum in central agendas and ensure that development initiatives are anchored in practice through clear priorities, strong collaboration and systematic follow-up.

Part of the task will also be to further develop the school area and support the political ambitions to strengthen students' academic development, well-being and participation in inclusive learning communities.

You will be responsible for the overall operation and development of the area and must ensure coherence between finances, resources and professional priorities, so the area develops and is run with high quality and a holistic view. Finally you will be a central sparring partner for the management and the political level, where you contribute with qualified advice and ensure a solid basis for priorities and decisions in the area.

As a member of the municipality's center management forum you also contribute to cross-cutting development of Tårnby Municipality and to creating holistic solutions across the organization and welfare areas.

Profilen - det vi forventer af dig

We expect you to bring solid leadership experience, preferably municipal or at least from a politically governed organization and have experience with leadership through managers. You can navigate confidently in the interaction between politics, management and organization and translate political ambitions into clear priorities and results.

You are a strategically strong leader who can see the whole across the children and youth area and translate political ambitions into a clear direction for the organization. You create buy-in across disciplines and leadership environments and can unite different perspectives around a common core task. You lead through others with trust and clarity and give room for professional differences, while maintaining the shared direction.

You have political acumen and navigate confidently in the political arena, where you can balance different considerations and advise clearly and nuanced, even when the area is characterized by high political attention.

Experience from early childhood, school or leisure areas is preferred, but most important is your ability and motivation to lead the establishment of the new center and create stronger coherence across the area.
