About the job

Would you like to be part of an integration effort that supports integration citizens on Frederiksberg to become self-reliant in Danish society?

The Center for Integration is part of the Employment and Labor Market Department and handles the overall integration effort in Frederiksberg Municipality. This includes receiving newly arrived refugees, operating the accommodation centers, handling refugee and immigrant participation in employment, coordinating Danish language education programs, etc.

The tasks as a job consultant primarily consist of

  • holding legally required contract conversations, including guidance on Danish language education, work, and education.
  • follow-up conversations with physical attendance, by phone or digitally. Conversations can take place in Danish, English or with an interpreter.
  • referral to Danish language education, follow-up on progression and dialogue with language schools.
  • administrative tasks, including journaling and registrations in professional systems.
  • guidance on job searching and feedback on CVs and applications.
  • contact with companies and educational institutions.
  • participate in collaboration with a wide range of internal and external partners.
  • develop the effort for the benefit of the citizens and support retention in ordinary jobs or education during the integration period.
  • maintain focus on the job perspective in collaboration with the department's partners and employment consultants.

We are looking for you who have

  • focus on employment as an important element of integration.
  • a relevant educational background (e.g., social worker or in the humanities) and/or relevant work experience.
  • digital curiosity.
  • a high degree of intercultural understanding and the ability to adapt your communication to the target group.
  • the ability to write and provide oral information in an easy-to-understand manner – both in Danish and English.
  • the calm and overview to handle complex cases and many diverse inquiries.
  • patience and a trustworthy approach.

It is an advantage if you have

  • relevant experience with guiding on job searching and giving feedback on CVs and applications.
  • experience with motivational conversations.
  • good knowledge of the labor market and which competencies are required in different industries.

We offer

  • a daily life where you meet people from all over the world and in all life situations.
  • an engaged team and center with colleagues who are passionate about the integration effort.
  • a work community where we focus on respectful dialogue.
  • a workplace where knowledge sharing and job satisfaction have high priority.
  • a high degree of autonomy in task planning and task execution.
  • flex-time arrangement and the possibility of remote work.
