About the job

Chief Nurse for ZUP1 – Zealand University Hospital Phase 1 Unit

Be part of building Denmark's next phase 1 unit at Zealand University Hospital

Dreaming of leading something that does not yet exist?

At ZUP1 – Zealand University Hospital Phase 1 Unit we search for an ambitious and action-oriented chief nurse who will help establish and develop a completely new cross-disciplinary research unit for early clinical drug trials at Zealand University Hospital.

This is not a job where you take over an established function. It is a unique opportunity to be involved from the beginning and to put your mark on everything from workflows, culture and quality systems to recruitment, collaborations and patient pathways.

Together with the chief physician and a strong multidisciplinary network you will be responsible for translating an ambitious vision into a well-functioning phase 1 unit that will attract both national and international research projects and provide patients with access to tomorrow's treatments.

A key role in an exciting establishment phase

In the coming years, ZUP1 will be developed into a regional and national center of excellence for early clinical trials. Here you will have a central role with great influence and substantial responsibility.

You will among other things

  • Coordinate the establishment of a new research unit.
  • Help design workflows, patient pathways and quality systems.
  • Build strong collaborations with clinical departments, research environments, authorities and industry.
  • Recruit and develop the researchers and research staff of the future.
  • Ensure high quality, patient safety and compliance with GCP and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the opening and conduct of the first phase 1 studies in a safe and professional manner.

Who are you?

You are a nurse with experience from clinical research, complex patient pathways or project management, and you are motivated by creating something new rather than merely maintaining the existing.

We imagine that you

  • Thrives with responsibility and a high degree of autonomy.
  • Can create structure and momentum in an environment under development.
  • Have experience with clinical research and drug trials.
  • Are strong at collaboration across disciplines and organizations.
  • Have natural leadership skills and the ability to bring people together around common goals.
  • Are prepared for some tasks to lie outside the usual day shift
  • See opportunities where others see challenges.

Experience with phase 1 trials is an advantage, but not a requirement. The most important is that you want and can help build something new.

Why you should choose us

At ZUP1 you get a rare opportunity to combine research, leadership, innovation and clinical nursing in one and the same position.

You will get

  • Opportunity to leave a lasting mark on a new research unit.
  • A central role in the development of future clinical research in Zealand.
  • Close collaboration with engaged researchers, clinicians and leaders.
  • Significant influence on both strategy, organization and daily operations.
  • The possibility to create better access to new treatments for patients through early clinical trials.

Ready to join from the start?

If you are motivated by building, developing and delivering results together with others, then this is a unique opportunity to become part of a project with big ambitions and great significance for future patient care.

We look forward to hearing from you.
